MonoE bermaksud Monochrome Effect. Melalui post MonoE nih, aku akan letak gambar2 yg semua dlm warna hitam, putih dan juga kelabu. Untuk post pertama bg MonoE nih, aku amik satu event yg dibuat minggu lepas.

Tiap-tiap tahun, akan diadakan satu pertandingan bola sepak antara pasukan2 kawasan di Jepun nih. Perlawanan bola yg aku percaya paling grand (sbb dah jd annual event) kat Jepun nih kami panggil sebagai Gifu Taikai sebab diadakan di Gifu, yg terletak bebetul di tgh2 Jepun.

Oleh kerana aku x penah pegi, maka dengan ngada2nya, aku pegi gak tahun nih. Seronok, mmg seronok. Tapi kesemua keseronokan ini disusuli dengan beberapa "tragedi" yg hanya mereka terlibat sahaja tahu.

Tahun nih, kawasan aku, Kansai telah menghantar konvoi 5 buah kereta ke Gifu. Dr pemain, penyokong, dan juga pemberita, semuanya telah disumbatkan kedalam kereta2 ini.

After 6 months of waiting, the latest episode of Gundam Unicorn (Gundam UC) have been revealed!

An event, showing Gundam UC episodes, from episode 1 to 4 held last Tuesday (October 25). An episode is 1 hour long, so the event took more than 4 hours!

Gundam UC episode 4 will be on sale in advance on November 12 (theaters), and December 2nd (shops).

In episode 4, more GMs and many many mobile suits shooting each other. Aqua GM make its appearance in this episode. There also Zaku sniper, and many mobile suits that never appear in other movie or series (mostly MSV). And , there is also a mysterious Gundam. The design is very similar to other Gundams which appeared in Advance of Z.

If you watched "Char's Counterattack", there is a similar scene in the movie which 2 psyco-frame equipped mobile suits fight each other just using psyco-wave (thats what I called, never know what it officially called).

After the event ended, the most popular character that came out from the audience mouth is Marida. What's happened to her? I can't give more spoiler here (if you read the novels, you already knew).

Now, when will they sell the Aqua GM Gunpla?

30th Kobe Jazz Street

Kobe Jazz Street is a Jazz Festival held every October in Kobe. It is a two-day event and involving every jazz clubs in the city. Most of these clubs are located along a street called Kitano-Zaka. Kobe is well known as an international port and one of the cities that received many influence from the West.

This year, Kobe Jazz Street is celebrating its 30th anniversaries and held on 8th and 9th October.

There are also other events held at the same day this year which I missed. Motomachi East Jazz Picnic 2011, India Mela, Sannomiya Collection 2011 A&W, Cosmos Festival (Cosmos Matsuri), Sangokushi Matsuri (The three kingdoms Festival) and more.

Terbaca satu artikel dimana para sainstis perlu membuat definisi semula 1 kilogram.

Kalau anda nak tahu (patutnya semua org tahu), 1 kilogram adalah satu unit yg mengikut International standard.

Kalau zaman dulu, kita mengalami satu masalah dimana ukuran amatlah tidak konsisten mcm ukur panjang, hasta, jengkal, dll. Kita, manusia sejagat kini mengalami masalah ukuran yg semakin besar.

Apa isu nih?

Definisi 1 kilogram ialah, berat sebijik besi yg disimpan dekat satu lokasi di Perancis. Setiap benda yg sama berat dgn besi tu dianggap 1 kilogram. Tapi sebenarnya, besi yg disimpan itu sendiri dikatakan sedang mengalami kekurangan berat. Ini bermakna, 1 kilogram yg kita ukur pada tahun 1900, sebenarnya lagi berat drpd ukuran 2000.

Sebenarnya, logam/besi standard ni, hanya dikeluarkan dr tempat simpanannya selama 3 kali shj. 1889, 1946 dan 1989. Dan setiap kali ia dikeluarkan, beratnya dibandingkan dgn copy yg diorg buat. sbb, logam standard ni amat sensitif. Bersin sikit ke, ada habuk sikit, tercalar sikit, boleh membuatkan besi/logam standard tu kehilangan/bertambah molekul.

Dalam bidang sains, perkara ni amat serius. Perubahan berat bg logam/besi standard bermakna, semua ukuran kat dunia ni salah serta-merta. Kalau sesiapa yg duduk lab mesti terasa. Contohnya mcm aku, ralat plg besar yg boleh diterima hanyalah 0.1 darjah selsius. Ini pun kira mcm level rendah je. Ada yg perlu tepat sgt sehingga 1% ralat pun x diterima.

Jd, apa masalah yg dihadapi oleh besi tersebut? Setiap kali dikeluarkan untuk dibandingkan, dibersihkan, diangkut, ia akan tercalar sedikit demi sedikit. Ini membuatkan besi tersebut mengalami kehakisan molekul. Lebih 120 thn, molekul yg hilang boleh dikatakan dalam keadaan yg membimbangkan.

Utk kes meter, dulu ada besi yg dinamakan meter-bar. meter-bar adalah meter standard. Dan pada tahun 80-an, ia didefinisikan sebagai

Ini kerana, ukuran menggunakan meter-bar ada ralat yg makin tidak boleh diterima dalam bidang sains yg semakin maju ni. Walaupun definisi kini menggunakan cahaya (light), tp sebenarnya, menggunakan cahaya dgn wavelenght tertentu.

Putrajaya – Filem animasi bukan sahaja diminati kanak-kanak tetapi turut menjadi kegilaan golongan dewasa di seluruh dunia. Selain gambar grafiknya yang mempersonakan ditambah jalan ceritanya yang menarik ia mampu memikat orang ramai untuk menontonnya.
Di Barat antara animasi kartun yang popular seperti Tom and Jerry, Bug Bunny dan Toy Story menjadi kegilaan kanak-kanak di seluruh dunia.
Produksi animasi dari Negara Asia seperti Jepun juga semakin mendapat tempat dihati peminat tempatan melalui karya Dragon Ball, Naruto dan Pokemon.
Namun begitu terdapat juga bahan tayangan dalam bentuk animasi itu menonjolkan imej yang keterlaluan dan tidak sesuai dijadikan bahan tontonan kepada masyarakat umum khususnya kanak-kanak.
Terdapat produksi animasi yang keterlaluan dan tidak layak ditayangkan di Negara ini tetapi mudah didapati menerusi VCD atau DVD haram yang dijual dipasaran gelap. Ini kerana terdapat peniaga yang mengejar keuntungan semata-mata sehingga sanggup memasarkan tanpa memikirkan kesan baik atau buruk kepada masyarakat walaupun ada beranggapan ia hanya satu bentuk hiburan semata-mata. Terdapat imej atau unsur ceritanya tidak sesuai untuk ditonton apatah lagi oleh generasi muda.
Mengulas mengenai kebimbangan itu pengerusi Lembaga Penapisan Filem (LFP) Datuk Mahmud Husin Syafie mengakui VCD atau DVD filem animasi dari Jepun dikesan banyak memaparkan unsure-unsur yang tidak sesuai untuk ditonton oleh kanak-kanak berbanding animasi dari Barat.
Menurutnya animasi dari Jepun berbeza dengan Negara barat kerana ia dianggap terlalu moden sehinggga melangkui moral masyarakat.
Animasi dari Negara barat banyak menyiarkan cerita-cerita lagenda dan dongeng masyarakat mereka seperti Cinderella, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland dan sebagainya.
Sementara animasi dari jepun pula banyak menyelitkan perkara-perkara mengenai kehidupan social yang tidak sesuai untuk ditonton oleh kanak-kanak” jelasnya.
Beliau menambah terdapat sesetengah VCD atau DVD filem animasi dari Jepun dikesan kurang sesuai kepada kanak-kanak bukan dari segi ceritanya tetapi lebih kepada karekter yang terdapat dalam sesuatu cerita tersebut.
Cerita animasi itu merupakan cerita biasa sahaja tetapi dalam cerita tersebut diselitkan sesatu perkara yang tidak sesuai seperti pakaian wanitanya yang menjolok mata dan aksi ganas.
Mohd Husin memberitahu banyak DVD animasi haram dari Jepun yang tidak ditapis boleh didapati dengan mudah dipasaran gelap.
Malah katanya ada ibubapa yang mengambil ringan perkara tersebut dangan membelikan anak mereka DVD animasi Jepun tanpa memeriksa kandungannya terlebih dahulu.
Ia boleh mempengaruhi pemikiran kanak-kanak yang mudah terpengaruh dengan animasi tersebut jika tidak diberi bimbingan ibubapa” jelasnya.
Mengenai prosedur penafisan sesuatu filem itu beliau berkata pengedar atau penerbit akan menghantar filem atau drama kepada LPF untuk dinilai dan diteliti kandungannya.
Kemudian ia diserahkan kepada ahli lembaga LPF dan tiga orang ahli panel akan menonton serta meneliti filem tersebut.

Apa yg ditulis x salah, tp malangnya byk sangat maklumat yg x betul.

no.1 - Contoh yg diberikan amat tidak sesuai. Mcm nk bandingkan kereta sport dgn SUV, kereta jugak dedua nih.

no.2 - Animasi barat tidaklah secomel itu sehingga sesuai ditonton oleh kanak2 (golongan yg jd target dlm artikel nih). Animasi barat byk unsur2 ganas. "banyak menyiarkan cerita-cerita lagenda dan dongeng masyarakat mereka"? HAAA????? Yg ni yg mereka tau, dan yg berjaya dibawa masuk ke Msia.

no.3 - Animasi dr Jepun bukan semua untuk kanak2. Parents je.. oops masyarakat kita je yg berfikiran agak tidak luas. Animasi bukan untuk kanak2 sahaja. Ia khas untuk semua lapisan masyarakat mcm filem yg disiar kat panggung. Ada filem utk kanak2, dewasa, wanita, lelaki, dan seisi keluarga.

-biasanya animasi utk kanak2 disiar pd hari sabtu/ahad pagi (sblm 10pg) dan utk hari2 lain, antara kul 8~9 pg.
-utk seisi keluarga disiar dlm waktu prime antara kul 5ptg hingga 7 mlm.
-utk dewasa dan juga remaja dimana mereka2 ni golongan yg suka stay-up, disiar antara pukul 12 tgh mlm hingga 4 pg.

no.4 - "Cerita animasi itu merupakan cerita biasa sahaja tetapi dalam cerita tersebut diselitkan sesatu perkara yang tidak sesuai seperti pakaian wanitanya yang menjolok mata dan aksi ganas."

Yg ni bukan salah jepun, salah barat gak. Yg mempopularkan miniskirt kat Jepun adalah org British, yg membawa aksi2 ganas pulak di pengaruhi oleh amerika. (pemakaian skirt pendek adalah sesuatu yg biasa di sini)

no.5 - "ada ibubapa yang mengambil ringan perkara tersebut dangan membelikan anak mereka DVD animasi Jepun tanpa memeriksa kandungannya terlebih dahulu."

Salah ibubapa yg berkenaan yg menganggap animasi=kartun=khas utk kanak2.

no.6 - klu rasa animasi Jepun x sesuai, maka silalah berfikir kembali utk mereka rasa yg Budaya Jepun ni patut diterap ke dlm budaya kita. Kebanyakan jalan ceritanya menggambarkan situasi masyarakat kini.

no.7 - dan jika anda rasa animasi Jepun ni x sesuai utk dibawa ke Msia, silalah pula berfikir tentang kesesuaian filem/drama barat yg memaparkan mende yg lebih kurang sama.

no.8 - Jgn jadi mcm KOSMO! yg membuat artikel salah pasal ANIME dan langsung xde "ralat" ataupun kenyataan maaf. Klu hal biasa pun xde mende2 camni, bayangkan pula hal2 mcm politik. Lg banyak fitnah.

no.9 - Aku tulis post kali ni dalam keadaan yg amat ekstrim, jd nk check satu2 mende ni amat membebankan.

8 is not a lucky number

The movie "Unstoppable" at last being showed in Japan from 7 Jan. Inspired by a true runaway train incident, the film tells the story of a runaway freight train, and the two men (Washington and Pine) who attempt to stop it.

I watch the trailer. The attempt to stop the runaway train was very heroic. But I also felt that something is fishy. So, I do a little research about the incident which inspired the film.

The incident was known as Crazy Eight incident. Happened in spring 2001, a train move without any engineers on board. But unfortunately for those who watch the film and don't know the truth, the attempt to stop the train was very anti-climatic.

Taken from several sources

The train involved was owned by CSX Transportation. The locomotive is numbered 8888. It pulled more than 40 cars. Some of them loaded with phenol, a toxic ingredient of paints and dyes that is harmful when it is inhaled, ingested, or comes into contact with the skin.

At first, the company attempted to derail the locomotive which ended with failure. A policeman tried to shoot out the fuel release valve and also failed. Then another locomotive which heading northbound and in head-on collision course, directed to a siding. The company ordered the northbound locomotive to decouple their cars and chase the runaway train. The engineers chased the runaway train and able to couple onto the rear car. Dynamic brake applied.

And the runaway train stopped...but that is not the story.

The runaway did not stop. When the runaway slowed down to about 11mph, a crew try to jump in into #8888, the runaway locomotive, but failed. However, another crew managed to get onboard and shut down the engine. And the train stopped.

No property was damaged, nobody was threaten to be fired, nobody got any disciplinary action (?).
And the train never got any higher than 51mph.

But Unstoppable is a movie. If the storyline is the same as the real incident, nobody want to watch it.

-The Crazy Eights is crazy afterall, another incident involving the same locomotive (#8888), occured in 2005. number "8" is not a lucky number afterall.

Rise of the machine: 2010 Gundam ver.

Last year, a 1/1 scale RX 78-2 Gundam was built for display at Odaiba, Tokyo. The event, ended 31th August 2010 (if I not mistaken) has attract many Gundam fans all over Japan and world.

But what happened after that date?

Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, a place where many plastic models/toys makers' HQ and factories located has launch an event. The event: Shizuoka Hobby Fair, is to celebrate the 50 years of this (model kit making) industry.

Located 3 hours by train from Tokyo (not shinkansen or bullet train), it showcased the upgraded 1/1 scale Gundam and a hobby museum.

As the name -hobby fair-, the event is particapated by not only Bandai, the Gundam makers, it also participated by populars model makers such as Hasegawa and Tamiya.

Back to the topic.

The 1/1 scale Gundam is upgraded, with a beam saber. If the event at Odaiba is to mark the 30th aniversary of Gundam, the event at Shizuoka is to mark the 30th anniversary of Gunpla (Gundam Plastic Model).

Also to celebrate this anniversary, Bandai with Sunrise, has produce a three part anime on the Gunpla builders theme.

Selamat Tahun Baru 2011 bg mereka yg menyambut tahun baru...

23hb Disember, hari cuti kat sini.

Pada ari ni, aku nk amik MieA device, Codename: MieA-MC yg terbaru serta satu game yg aku tempah beberapa bulan lepas. Cadang nk pegi awal sbb nk tgk cemana rminya org beli game tersebut yg dijual pada ari tersebut. Tp sebab terbangun lewat, aku pegi tgh ari.

Semasa dlm perjalanan ke Osaka, aku baca tweet mereka yg berkenaan. Menurut tweet-tweet tersebut, Kedai Yodobashi Camera di Akihabara, telah dipenuhi mereka yg nk beli game tersebut. Manakala di kedai Bic Camera di Ikebukuro, pihak kedai terpaksa bukak kaunter khas.

Aaaa... Tokyo, biasala. apa2 pun mesti ramai org. Osaka mesti kurang kot. Tetapi aku terkejut bila tgk keadaan ini di kedai Yodobashi di Umeda.

Ini membuatkan aku tertanya...adakah semua nk beli game yg sama? Sb aku dgr org kedai tu menjerit "Nombor giliran akan diberi kpd sesapa yg nk beli Game *tuut*". Biar betul.

Aku memerhatikan buat seketika, x rmi yg beli game yg aku nk amik nih. Bila di teliti dgn lebih teliti seteliti yg mungkin, aku kagum dgn org2 Jepun nih.

Yg beratur adalah drpd pelbagai lapisan umur, dr budak ke tua (dlm 50 thn, kat sini umur 50 thn pun mcm 40 thn kat Msia), dr yg bujang smpila ke dah berkahwin, dan juga lelaki serta perempuan.

Kebanyakan mereka x beli satu game jer. Paling kurang pun 2. Sampai yg borong 5 pun ada (pelbagai platform). Ada yg bawak sekeping jer, tp smpi kaunter, pi mintak game2 lain. Mana la x lama.

aku mendapati, platform dibawah popular utk beberapa golongan
PSP - lelaki, kebanyakannya bujang
Nintendo DS (all version) - perempuan (semua umur), bebudak
PS3 - lelaki, mereka yg dah bercouple,
Wii - family besar, pelbagai lapisan umur, makcik dpn aku pun beli game Wii.
Xbox - x popular dikalangan org Jepun nampaknya.

Aku sebenarnya beratur lebih 30 mnt! Nasib baik dlm bangunan, klu kat luar sejuk. Aku yg pi order game ni atas sbb nk dpt cepat dan mudah, pun kene beratur lama jugak. Tp advantage order ni ialah, ko akan dpt apa yg ko order. Xdela nk kene pi kedai pagi2 sblm subuh.

Spent an hour at the nearest book store yesterday. Yes, I did found many interesting books and as usual, don't buy anything.

I already have too many books, from textbooks to novels, paperbacks and hardcovers, japanese and english. But I don't finish reading any of them. Not yet and I don't feel I will.

I already run out of space. The numbers are increasing. Currently, I have more than 20 books and maybe more than 50 magazines. By March next year, the number will increase to 30 for books and 60 for magazines.

My latest books

Manga: AKB49 with special cover

A novel can be finished in about 6 hours (calculation is based on an audio book version). But me? 6 chapters in a week (out from 60 chapters).

How much I spend a month?

In Yen, about 10000 yen per month average.

I wonder if I can keep this pace after finishing my studies here...

Bila sebut pasal anime (singkatan animation dlm bhs jepun), rmi kata yg anime ni utk bebudak. Mcm game jugak. Salah besar kenyataan nih. Byk anime yg hebat x ditujukan pada umur bwh 12thn, malah byk yg disasarkan khusus untuk hiburan seisi keluarga, remaja dan tidak ketinggalan juga dewasa (hentai tidak terkecuali).

Sebut pasal anime yg hebat, antara nama yg terkeluar adalah Hayao MIYAZAKI (宮崎駿/みやざき　はやお). Tp kenal x pulak Makoto SHINKAI (新海　誠・しんかい　まこと)? Aku pun x brapa kenal. Tp kali ni, aku xnk cerita pasal En. Shinkai nih. Kali nk tulis psl salah satu Anime arahan beliau: 5 centimetre per second (秒速５センチメートル). Anime nih lama dah, thn 2007.. Bg aku, anime nih yg paling bagus. Mungkin lg bagus dr anime2 arahan En. Miyazaki.

Jalan cerita semua berlaku sekitar watak utama cerita nih Takaki TONO (遠野　貴樹). Mengisahkan hubungan dier dgn heroin utama cerita nih Akari SHINOHARA (篠原　明里). Dimulakan masa sekolah rendah/ sekolah menegah rendah, kemudian jd jarak jauh masa sekolah menengah tinggi, dan diakhiri masa Tono bekerja. Adakah mereka berdua dpt bersama? eceh.. wat promosi pulak.

Cerita dier x panjang, pendek je. Lebih kurang 1 jam. Pastu dibahagikan pulak kepada 3 chapter.

Akhirnya, secara rasminya masukla musim sejuk. Jd, mari kita tgk blk apa yg best untuk autumn kali ni.

Kali ni, aku ingin mempersembahkan (bunyi mcm hebat) gambar2 daun2 pokok yg berwarna warm sbg tanda musim luruh ni.

Mt. Takao (Hachioji, Tokyo)

Aktiviti ini dianjurkan oleh MSAJ. First time aku join aktiviti mcm ni. Agak best jugak sbb selalu shoot sengsorg. Nk korek pengalaman org pun susah. Lagi satu yg bestnyer, aku dpt jumpa org2 yg slalu aku tgk flickr. Nama2 yg aku kenal mcm diloz dgn apek. Diorg secara umumnya kohai (Junior) aku . Sbb diorg lagi byk sifu + byk lg amik gambar dr aku, progress diorg amat cepat.

Program ni sbnrnya kene delay, tp sbb delay ni yg aku dpt join. Klu x.... kempunan aku.

Nunobiki Herb Park (Kobe)

Ajakan secara tetiba oleh kohai (junior) aku membuatkan aku menapakkan kaki aku kat kawasan yg mmg dah lama nk pegi tp xde org yg nk pegi. Dgn terjejaknya kaki aku kat sini, aku telah berjaya membuat satu rekod peribadi, menaiki semua servis kereta kabel di bandar kobe ni. Rokko Cable, Arima Cable, Maya Cable, dan last sekali Nunobiki Cable.

Thn depan kene pegi lagi, sbb.... tungguuuu... hehe

Taman / sungai dkt apartment aku

Sedang aku mencari tempat untuk menikmati warna2 musim luruh berkilo2 meter jauhnya, tinggi beratus2 meter tinggi, aku tidak sedar yg bahawasanya ada tempat yg dekat lg kurag ekslusif yg juga memiliki pemandangan yg tidak kurang cantiknya.

Selalu pegi sini untuk pergi supermarket yg berhampiran. Membeli brg keperluan sambil menikmati keindahan alam.

Sabtu lepas, aku memberanikan diri utk mengikut bebudak ni pegi jamming kat studio berdekatan. Alangkah malangnya, dpt studio yg amat kecik. Kami 5 org, (2 gitar, 1 drum, 1 kamera, 1 tukang lepak) berhimpit2 kat dalam tu.

Telinga aku diselamatkan oleh earphone Zamrex. Klu x pecah telinga aku.

Berbekalkan 2 lens kesayangan, memasing dgn nilai F 1.4 dan 2.8, amik gambar dlm situasi ni tidak memberikan masalah yg besar.

Bulan lepas, aku dan 2 org kohai (junior) pegi ke Kobe Herb Park. Perjalanan yg sepatutnya bermula pada jam 12tgh hari, kene delay smpi beberapa jam. Tp sbb delay ni, dpt tangkap gambar masa senja.

Kereta kabel

Nk pegi ke Herb Park ni, kene naik kereta kabel. Xleh guna kereta persendirian. Jalan nk ke sini pun xde kecuali untuk maintenance team je.

Herb Park dilihat dr puncak

Kereta Kabel ini akan membawa ke puncak (lebih kurang 500m dr paras laut). Herb Park nyer sebenarnya terletak kat tgh2. 400m dr paras laut agaknya. Nk turun kat stesen herb park pun boleh, kat puncak pun boleh.

Kat atas ni x byk mende sgt, tp tmpt ni digunakan sepenuhnya oleh kami utk set kamera memasing.

Sbb sekarang ni musim luruh, melihat daun2 yg mula bertukar dr hijau ke kuning, oren dan merah mmg memberikan pemandangan yg agak best.

Kat Kobe nih, tiap-tiap tahun, ada upacara dia tersendiri. Yang paling semua org tunggu, kohai (junior) belanja senpai (senior). Tempat tiap2 tahun sama, kat Fisherman Market. Adala sekali buat kat tempat lain.

Apa yg best nyer sampai Fisherman Market ni jadi pilihan bebudak Melayu kat sini? Sampai ada yg dtg jauh nun di utara, dtg kat sini tanya "tau x Fisherman kat mana?".

Yang paling pasti, buffet. Dgn harga yg murah (lebih kurang 2000 yen rasanya), anda boleh makan seberapa kenyang yg boleh, makanlah, jangan tak makan. Xde caj macam klu x abis, tiap 100gram beberapa yen tu xde. Nk amik pastu buang pun xpe, tapi x elok la kan.

So, pic pic pic. Oleh kerana subject kali ni makanan, aku guna lens EF 50mm f1.4 kesayangan aku. Guna prime lens nih best sbb die sharp, xyah la nk berusaha byk, mmg sharp. f1.4 lak, dpt DOF shallow skit. Aku x brapa bagus dlm composition, jd... tgk jela ek.

Recovery Mode [BM Post]

Ramai yg tahu bahawasanya aku memiliki iPhone 4 (siap pi order masa 1st day) yg telah di jailbreak dan unlock. Proses ini dilakukan dgn mudah oleh aku dengan bantuan internet.

Untuk mengelakkan masalah besar, terutamanya semasa update/upgrade, aku selalu tunggu lama sambil membaca komen2 yg diberikan oleh unlockers dan jailbreakers yg gagal dlm proses. Kegagalan dalam proses ini akan menyebabkan pelbagai perkara yg amat x best.

Akan tetapi, untuk kali ni, aku telah skip peraturan yg aku buat sendiri. Dan hasilnya, recovery mode.

Recovery Mode

Apabila seseorang termasuk ke Recovery Mode, iTunes akan memaksa iPhone untuk recover atau reset dan update ke versi terbaru - sesuatu yg ingin dielakkan oleh unlockers. Aku dah cuba mcm2 jalan, tapi masih gagal. Setelah diselidiki, ramai jugak yg sangkut.

Aku sekarang sedang menunggu berita baik dr hackers yg berkenaan untuk mendapatkan balik unlock memandangkan aku terpaksa membuang unlock atas sebab diatas. Dah 3 hari (sehingga 24hb) aku x ber-iPhone. Agak sunyi jugak sbb iPhone la aku rajin tweet, berFB dan membaca berita2 terkini.

Untuk menutup kesunyian yg ada, aku menggunakan iPad. Tapi, pergerakan aku terhad sbb iPad aku WiFi ver.

Terlalu bergantung pada teknologi? entahlah...

Sejak semalam, antara berita yg amat hangat yg keluar di kaca-kaca... eh.. skang ni dah canggih... ehem.. yg keluar di skrin-skrin TV dan juga muka hadapan akhbar2 tabloid, adalah penaangkapan org no.2 satu geng Yakuza di Jepun, Yamaguchi-gumi (Geng Yamaguchi/Yamaguchi Gang).

Dengan sejarah hampir 100 tahun (dibentuk pada 1915), Yamaguchi-gumi ni merupakan kumpulan Yakuza yg terbesar kat Jepun nih. Dengan melakukan aktiviti2 jenayah yg dapat korang agak, dari memukul dan mengugut sampailah membunuh dan merampas, Yamaguchi-gumi ni merupakan satu target yg paling besar dan amat lumayan bg pihak Polis.

Sebesar mana Yamaguchi-gumi nih?

Mengikut sumber yg hampir boleh dipercayai, mereka yg berdaftar dgn Yamaguchi-gumi nih merupakan lebih kurang 45% daripada populasi Yakuza di Jepun. Besar kan? Jadi x heranlah kalau Polis pun dok pening kepala cemana nk hapuskan group yg besar lg dipandang hormat nih.

Selain melakukan aktiviti-aktiviti jenayah seperti membunuh Mayor Nagasaki, Yamaguchi-gumi nih juga banyak melakukan aktiviti2 kemasyarakatan terutamanya di kawasan Nada, Kobe. Macam x caya pulak.

Kenapa Nada, Kobe?

Sebab kat sini lah terletaknya HQ diorg. hanya beberapa ratus meter dr umah aku.

Antara bantuan diorg:
-1995, masa gempa besar melanda Kobe, Yamaguchi-gumi memberikan bantuan kepada rakyat tempatan. Malah katanya, lebih efisyen drpd bantuan kerajaan.
-2009, semasa pendimik H1N1 menggugat kesejahteraan Kobe, Yamaguchi-gumi ada menghadiahkan sekotak topeng/ penutup hidung dan mulut kepada sebuah tadika berhampiran di sini. Tp ia dipulangkan oleh pihak Polis atas alasan "We don't support terrorism.. eh.. criminals".

Yama-Ichi War

Pada satu ketika di lewat 80-an, peperangan atau pergaduhan di antara geng Yakuza ni berada di tahap yg agak melampau. Tembak-menembak di jalanan merupakan satu perkara yg agak biasa.

Yama-Ichi War merupakan perang yakuza yg berlangsung selama 5 tahun antara Yamaguchi-gumi dengan Ichiwa-kai (Perjumpaan Ichiwa (?)). Ia dimulakan apabila salah satu group dalam Yamaguchi gumi berpecah dgn membentuk satu geng baru, Ichiwa-kai yg berpusat di Osaka.

Selepas tu, ia berkembang menjadi satu perang. Tiap-tiap group menghantar beberapa pembunuh (ala2 komando gitu) dalam beberapa siri. Dan kemudian berkembang lagi menjadi satu killing spree.

Pergaduhan ini berlaku di sekitar Kansai dgn keputusan Yamaguchi-gumi kekal dan Ichiwa-kai lesap. Tp kemenangan ini merupakan Pyrrhic victory. Satu kemenangan yang amat tinggi kosnya bg Yamaguchi-gumi.

A Day at A Book Store

Personally, I hate to enter a book store. Why? Here the story for today.

I was tired after 3 hours of walking this morning. So, I decided to search a place where I can sit, relax and update my blog. And thats when I enter a Kinokuniya Book Store.

The books sell in a book store can give an impression of a society.

NOVEL

I wonder when it started. The light novel genre - typically not more than 40-50,000 words long - are placed in a shelf located near the entrance (means: it is the best selling books, or recommended by the store).

Maybe they like to read a books that have some entertainment, not too heavy (in terms of weight and content), and able to adapt into dramas. Many of J-Drama are adapted from light novel.

MANGA

They had one or two floors filled with manga. From a manga that is full of fantasy to near reality.

Well, wolrd already know about Manga and Japan.

FOREIGN BOOKS

Not much. Many of them were translated. Japanese know foreign writer because of th\ese translated books - including Harry Porter of course.

World also know that Japanese not good at English. But, many of the Researchers in Universities always read the English version journals. Translated version will make them confused.

RELIGIONS

You can find many books about religions. From Islam to Buddhism to Hinduism to Christian.
Christian: Searching peace and God
Buddhism: Way of life
Hinduism: Understanding Hiduism
Islam: The Real Islam and the extremist.

Japanese people want to understand more about Hinduism as it is not very well known in Japan. But India (and its curry) is very popular here.

In Islam case, many of them were confused by the news brought by the Western News Agency: Terrorism, Gulf War etc etc. They see Islam is a very extreme religion, but they also found that Islam is a peace religion after they see truth when they went to Islamic Countries.

Japanese don't believe in single God. A sensei said to me before: "a japanese is born as a Buddhist, married as Christian, and die as a Shinto".

Duduk kat Jepun ni, ada banyak berita pasal bunuh diri. Macam2 sebab ada. Sudah tentu mereka ni semua menghadapi tekanan. Antara tekanan kerja, tekanan kewangan, dan tekanan yg ditekan-tekan.

Baru-baru ini, ada seorang budak sekolah rendah membunuh diri. Sebabnya: buli dan keseorangan. Punyala budak yg akalnya masih mentah, pengalaman hidup x byk mana, mersakan tekanan yg amat dahsyat lalu mengambil keputusan untuk membunuh diri. Kenapa agaknya...

Dari kes ni, ada beberapa "kebenaran" mengenai Jepun ni.

1.Buli

Klu kita kat Malaysia, mesti kita pernah dgr perkataan "raging". Zaman sekarang memanggilnya buli tanpa belas kasihan. Kat negara kita, biasanya yg kuat membuli ni ialah senior. Kekerasan digunakan untuk membuktikan dirinya "berkuasa".

Tp kat Jepun ni bentuk bulinya lain sedikit. Mereka bukan sahaja dibuli dr bentuk fizikal, malah mental. Biasanya mereka yg dibuli ini, akan dipulaukan oleh mereka disekeliling. Plg baik pun kene pulau dgn classmate.

Nk mengadu kene ignore. Nk ckp dgn parents... Korg pun taulakan, klu mengadu kat parents nnt org ckp anak manja lak.

Bukan sahaja org yg dibuli ni kene pulau, dicerca, dihina, dan byk lg perkara yg membencikan.

2.Xnk nyusahkan org lain

Klu kebanyakan org Melayu x buat aduan atau komplen atas satu2 perkara, kebanyakan jwpn yg diterima ialah "malas". Tp klu org jepun ni klu kene buli, kene tindas, kene apa2 dan x buat aduan, diorg akan ckp "xnk menyusahkan org lain". Kenapa? Sbb jika buat aduan, banyak mende yg agak "menyusahkan" akan berlaku.

Klu di"sama"kan dgn situasi dekat Malaysia, klu ada kes buli, nnt dtgla polis, dtgla pegawai itu, cikgu itu kene panggil, org itu kene panggil, org2 akhbar dtg wat interview. Xke leceh tu.

3. Defininisi kawan

Bg org Jepun, definisi kawan cuma ada satu: best friend. Classmate bukan kawan, satu batch bukan kawan, satu group bukan kawan. Malah, skang ni ada mcm jenis kawan klu mengikut org Jepun ni. antara nya: Kawan SMS (ala2 penpal gitu), Kawan minum, Kawan makan bersama. Leh pulak dibahagi-bahagikan kawan nih. Ish Ish Ish.

Banyak lg. X cukup nk tulis kat sini. Of course, nnt mesti ada org bantah ckp aku. Perlu dicakap disini, anda bukan betul, dan juga bukan saya betul. Inilah namanya pendapat. Klu x setuju dgn pandapat aku, ok. Xde masalah. Xkan jd masalah pun.

Jarang aku post utk 3 kategori skali nih.

Skang ni dah bulan 11, dah masuk musim luruh atau dlm bahasa Jepun nya AKI. Musim aki ni antara musim yg tercantik sbb daun2 ni dah mula kering. Merah, kuning, oren, warna2 yg warm lah kata org tu.

Cuaca pun dah mula sejuk, dan cakap pasal AKI ni, salah satu ciri2 dia ialah cuaca. Cuaca musim ni sng berubah. Smpi ada peribahasa Jepun:

Onna gokoro to aki no sora : Hati perempuan dan langit musim luruh.

Maksud dier, seperti cuaca time2 AKI nih, begitu jugak dgn hati perempuan terhadap lelaki. Sng berubah.

Hmmmm... Betul ke? Betul kot.. Tp sebenarnya, peribahasa ni x wujud asalnya.

Apa? Mmgla x wujud klu org x buat. Ntah sapa tulis memula pun aku pun x tau. Tp dikatakan, peribahasa ni sebenarnya telah diubah. Asalnya?

Time2 AKI ni yg amat cantik nila amat sesuai untuk amik gambar. Dgn jaket, berlatar belakangkan daun2 berguguran. Macam Autumn Sonata.

Untuk itu, FOX PROJECT!

Ya... Fox Project dtg lg. Kali ni akan dibuat di pertengahan bulan 11. Minggu ni. Dan Fox Project ini diberi nama Fox Project: AKI 2010.

Dalam byk2 Fox Project, AKI 2010 adalah Fox Project yg mengambil bajet yg amat banyak, dan tenaga manusia yg ramai. Buat masa ni ada 17 org untuk main event (x termasuk aku). Dan untuk Fox Project kali ni, 2 MieA device akan pergi ke satu airport yg agak terkenal untuk melihat design yg dikatakan amat cantik. Adakah mereka akan berjaya?

Bila nk upload gambar?

Untuk Main Event, kami akan sedaya upaya akan menyediakan gambar (tanpa kantoi) sesegera mungkin. Untuk Event sampingan, gambar yg diupload akan dikenakan privasi yg amat ketat (cuma beberapa org je yg boleh tgk). Untuk public, tunggu tahun depan kot. Gambar2 masa Fox Project D12 (yg pegang rekod, suhu paling rendah, jarak perjalanan paling jauh, dan juga masa yg paling lama: 4 ari [kot]) pun aku x upload lg.

Bg aku, setakat ni, Fox Project D12 adalah Fox Project yg paling berjaya setakat ni dgn thp kekantoian pd tahap minimum.

Tp kan, aku sering ditanya "Kenapa x ajak?". Satu soalan yg aku bosan dgr.

Satu je jwpn aku, "Kenapa x ajak?". Pikir sendirik. Jawapan dah ada, tp buat2 bodoh lak. (sbb yg tanya org yg sama. 超ムカつくですけど << first time aku ckp kat manusia lain).

Tp, klu org yg berkenaan nk ikut sgt, boleh je. Cuma kali ni mesti ada duit dan masa. Aku rasa kat Kobe ni xde calon sesuai. どうでもいい！！

Ok, skang pun rmi dah mula sibuk dgn kenkyuu memasing (kecuali aku sbb device tu sendirik yg rosak). Maka aku ucapkan AKIramenai de!!!

Don't support piracy

My Collection

These are the singles/album I owned. I started to buy CDs in 2006 - the first year I arrived in Japan. The first album I bought was an album by 12 Girls Band - my favourite. I love their performance when I saw their DVD played at a music shop in Malacca in 2004. At that time, I still used my good ol' Walkman. When I asked the shop assistant "is there any cassette ver?", she laughed at me "everyone use CD player now". It took minutes for her to find the cassette, and luckily they available.

The Best of Covers

Not like everyone else who evolved from walkman to CD player to MP3 Player (iPod I mean), I skipped those. Now I have iPhone, and stream my music directly from my computer. Currently, I have 15GB of musics (most of them using 320kbps) that I got from various resources.

Then, starting this year, I started to buy AKB48's singles and albums. Starting with 桜の栞 (sakura no shiori).

Here is the latest single: BEGINNER. AKB48's single has a special version called the Theatre ver. It can't be bought at music shop, only at online shop. The buyer was selected through draw. I was very lucky because this is my first time to try for it and selected.

Semua berlaku tahun lepas semasa aku nk tukar tepon lama aku [(M)ieSHa]. Ini semua kerna seorg kakak kedai tu. Aku telah termakan pujuk rayu dia, dan kini aku x boleh lepaskan diri dari...

iDEVICE

*iDEVICE=iPod, iPhone dan brg2 yg sewaktu dengannya.

Pada akhir bulan 2, tahun 2009 aku dengan rasminya adalah pengguna iPhone 3G. Pada waktu tersebut, x rmi yg guna iPhone nih. Nk kata aku yg first guna, xleh cakap jugak.

Setelah menggunakan beberapa lama, aku agak kagum dengan kelebihan iPhone. Ia mengingatkan aku kepada MieA yg telah dinyah-tauliahkan beberapa tahun yg lepas. Multitouch, apps yg menarik, dll amat menarik hatiku. Dan pada saat itu, aku tahu yg aku telah jatuh cinta. (cheh)

Kegilaan ini ditambah lg apabila aku mengetahui mengenai Jailbreak (JB dgn singkatnya). Dgn JB, aku boileh customized iPhone aku tanpa had! Aku igt lagi seorg jurujual kat kedai Maxis kat SACC tu agak hairan kenapa iPhone aku ni lain dr iPhone biasa.

Akan tetapi, kegembiraan aku tidak lama. Kedatangan 3GS yg x berbau menyedarkan aku: aku terlambat. Kelebihan iPhone 3GS seperti kompas dan video walaubagaimanapun bukan satu kelebihan yg besar.

Bagaimanapun, pada musim panas tahun lepas aku dpt berita mengenai iPhone yg baru. Setelah meneliti pasaran smartphone, aku tahu yg aku perlu menggantikan iPhone 3G aku dgn segera. Ini berdasarkan pengalaman aku dgn MieA dahulu.

Dengan tidak bercakap panjang, aku perkenalkan 2 iDevice yg mengagumkan. iPhone4 dan iPad.

iPhone4, and iPad

iPhone4 aku order 1 jam selepas order dibuka. iPad pulak aku beli akhir bulan 7 aritu.

Aku membuat keputusan utk membeli iPhone4 setelah mengikuti perkembangan iPhone. Mcm Steve Job cakap, iPhone4 is the biggest leap taken after the first iPhone. Speed iPhone4 adalah seperti apa yg aku inginkan. Dilengkapi dgn kamera 5MPx, ia juga satu alat photography yg menarik. Selain itu Retina display membuatkan gambar2 dan juga video kelihatan cantik. Viewing pictures and videos on a smartphone is never this beautiful!

iPad aku beli setelah mendapati yg aku perlukan sesuatu yg boleh aku gunakan dimana shj. Penggunaan PDF secara berleluasa memaksa aku mencari alternatif selain print. Tidak seperti netbook, iPad memberikan kebebasan. iPad boleh digunakan ketika anda berdiri, duduk, berbaring. Menggunakan iPad juga tidak menyakiti hati org lain. iPad xda keyboard,ini bermakna tiada lg bunyi bising!!.

Jika anda berfikir: iPad xleh sambung thumbdrive, xbest, - anda salah. Dgn JB, anda boleh gunakan thumbdrive anda! Tp x boleh guna external harddisk memandangkan iPAd tidak berupaya memberikan voltage yg cukup. Klu nk pki, kene sambung HDD tu ke external power dulu.

Tp, aku tidak mengesyorkan kepada org yg nk mencari netbook. Sbb iPad x berkemampuan mcm laptop/ netbook.. "iPad is for consumption, not creation"

However, Ayumi Hamasaki didn't get any offer from softbank for this advertisement. But, Ayu offered herself.

Ayu is a fan of Otosan (お父さん) -the white dog that they use in the ads . She tweet to the Mr. Son, the chairman and CEO of Softbank, that she want to take part in the Softbank's ad series.

Mr. Son replied with his famous tweet (word) "やりましょう” Yarimashou=lets do it.

And the result: an ad with Ayu.

Kishigawa Line is a local line in Wakayama prefecture. After the operation were taken over by Wakayama Electric Railway Co. 3 unique train sets were introduced.

All of the are 2270 series aquired from the previous operator Nankai Electric Railway Co. ltd.

To increase the ridership and also to attract tourist, Wakayama Electric Railway Co. decided to start a renewal programme. In this programme, train sets will be repainted, and the interior will be redesigned. This programme is unique because it was a community effort. The cost to redesign the sets were covered by sponsored money from local business and locals. As rewards, their name will be written on a special plate and put in the sets.

Ichigo Densha was introduced in 2006 with the strawberry motif is the first sets in a renewal programme. Why strawberry? The area around Kishi Station is popular with its production, strawberry. However, the sets colour isn't totally red. Instead, it coloured white with the door painted red.

Ichigo Densha was not "on duty" when I visit the line last saturday. So, I don't know the detail about the interior.

Omocha densha is second of this renewal programme (2007). It was designed with toy motif. Painted in red with OMODEN writing at the side (short for OMOcha DENsha). It was supported by an internet toy shop T.J.Grosnet. At first, the company suggest it to be design as Gundam Densha (Gundam Densha). But the operator reject it because the wanted it to be the brother to the Ichigo Densha, and change the plan to Omocha Densha.

The interior was designed with toy room motif. Many toys are place inside 3 wooden (with glass window) racks. And also, they sell capsule toys inside.

In spring 2008, T.J.GrosNet was filed for bankruptcy. The shop was ranked #1 at Yahoo! Shopping Japan and at the time. It was very disappointing. I placed an order a month before the company goes bankrupt (of course I don't know that the company will go bankrupt) and the product was supposed to arrived several days after the bankruptcy declaration date. I managed to get it from other shop. I was lucky, the product is a very popular product and after several days I bought the product, many shops don't have it in their stock.

The T.J.GrosNet name as the sponsor was not erased.

After Tama the cat officially named as the station master for Kishi Station, the operator decided to redesign a set with cat motif. It was painted white and at the heads of the set, whiskers were painted. The interior is filled with cat paintings, books about cat and the cat design chairs and benches. Tama Densha was launched in 2009.

The mother company of the operator, Okayama Electric Tramway co. ltd redesign a car set which is operating in Okayama prefecture with Tama motif. They didn't stop there, they also repaint a company van with the same motif.

These train sets with their unique interior design and also Tama as station master is a very successful. They attract train and lovers. Their success also brought big influence to other local lines that in the danger of being scrapped. This including a dog and a rabbit as station master.

Train with unique design and painting can be spotted anywhere in a Japan, but the interior is same as ordinary train. Wakayama people did a great job to safe their beloved trains. The line is just 14km long and it take about 15~20 minutes from Wakayama to Kishi, a short journey but fun.

If not of these programme, the journey will be boring.

Tama is a cat, but not an ordinary cat. She is a station master.

Kishi station is a station of a local line in Wakayama, Kishigawa Line operated by Wakayama Electric Railway Co. And Tama was selected as a station master of this station in 2007. But why a cat?

Just like other local lines (the line that is not a major line, running through the countryside areas, usually operated in 1 or 2 cars set with 1 to 3 sets operating each hour) in Japan, the line suffers a major problem: deficit operation.

The line was built in 1916 by Santou light railway(?) (山東軽便鉄道 /santou keiben tetsudou). The line was operated by various operator. In the 1961 the operation was taken by Nankai Electric Railway Co. However, its not a profitable line.

This problems worsen by the development in areas around the line. Car usage has made the passenger that use the line begin to decline.

In 2003, Nankai Electric Railway Co, announced that the line operation will stop. In 2004, Nankai Electric Railway Co. sent a document to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to make the decision official and able to dismantle the tracks. The line is already stop operating.

However, Wakayama Prefecture, Wakayama City and Ishigawa Town objected. They wanted the line to remain and started to search for a operator to continue the operation with some intensive.

Okayama Electric Tramway co. ltd (岡山電気軌道株式会社・okayama denki kidou kabushiki gaisha) was selected from 9 operators/companies. The company founded the Wakayama Electric Railway Co. (100% owned by Okayama Electric Tramway) to operate the line.

All the stations are unmanned to cut costs. However, the station master (to look over the stations) were selected from employees of local businesses near each station. For Kishi station, Toshiko Koyama, the neighborhood grocer, was selected as station master. Koyama had adopted Tama and other stray cats, and he fed them at the station.

In 2007, Tama was selected as the station master for Kishi Station. The publicity give the company a positive effect. Passengers increase by more than 10%.

In 2008, Tama was promoted to super station master.

Kishi Station was renovated to give the station a "cat look". The construction completed last month. Below are the pics taken last saturday.

The GUNPLA Phone

At last, the phone that I waiting for has arrived. I booked this phone more than 3 month ago (before the order for iPhone4 opened). And finally, its here. Just look at the box.

I was surprised when saw the box (not the package, not what you see above). It was soo big. Org Melayu kata: sepemeluk.

The shop assistant (店員さん), asked me if I want to take the box. I said: "No thanks, the package is big enough for me".

Not related to this post. Omlet Rice that I have for dinner that day. M size, compare it with the S size (normal size). Big? No lah.

So, what is in the package? Why so big? To answer that question, lets open it.

Above is the pic showing the inside of the package. A Gunpla is also given to the buyers of the phone. At the right side is the parts to build the Gunpla. A Metal In Frame is at the left side above. And the box containing the phone at the left side bottom.

The Phone

Here is the phone. It is based on 945SH (well it is a 945SH model). White in colour. There is White Base marking, EFSF (earth federation space force) marking, and the "RX-78" writing.

Display

It has Gundam customized contents unlike the real 945SH. Here is the one of the animated wallpaper showing the drawing of a wire frame of RX-78. Another wonderful thing of the display is, it is a touchscreen and can be flipped just like other AQUOS phone.

This model is a little bit bigger than other HGs (1/144). Non scale (?)

Banci penduduk (BM Post)

Macamana nak tau jumlah penduduk sesuatu negara dgn agak tepat?
-Dengan mengira jumlah penduduk.

Sebenarnya, tgh lepak jln2 berehat kat skola, aku ternampak satu poster.

Population Census, atau dalam Bahasa Malaysianya: Banci Penduduk.

Setelah duduk lebih 4 thn kat sini, nila first time ada banci penduduk. Dan diorg pilih 1 Oktober utk buat bancian nih.

Pastu balik umah, ada pulak kertas yg terselit kat dlm peti surat aku. Pasal mende yg sama jugak. Tp kali ni dia ada terangkan prosedur bancian yg bakal dibuat.

Ada pembanci akan dtg umah bg borg.
Pastu, isi borg tersebut.
Bg borg itu kpd pembanci atau post.

Mudah kan? hanya 1,2 dan juga 3.

Tgk macam lebih kurang kat Malaysia. Apa yg aku tau, bancian penduduk kat Malaysia nih dijalankan 10thn sekali. Untuk menddapatkan maklumat lanjut, aku yg agak rajin sikit kali ni mencari maklumat berkenaan.

Amat bertuah kerana thn 2010 adalah thn bancian. Tp diorg dah buat bln Julai lepas.

Menurut maklumat yg diberikan oleh Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia, banci dijalankan bwh Akta Banci 1960. Banci sblm ni dijlnkan pd thn 1970, 1980, 1991 (eh lewat 1 thn?) dan 2000.

Objektif Banci diadakan antaranya ialah untuk:

a) Mengumpul maklumat perangkaan yang menyeluruh berkaitan penduduk dan perumahan negara.

b) Menyediakan maklumat yang meluas tentang:

Bilangan penduduk dan isi rumah serta ciri-ciri demografi, sosial dan ekonomi; dan
Bilangan tempat kediaman mengikut jenis, ciri dan kemudahan asas yang sedia ada.

c) Menyediakan data asas penduduk dan perumahan di pelbagai peringkat geografi sehingga kekawasan yang kecil;

d) Mendapatkan maklumat terperinci berkaitan migrasi dalaman dan antarabangsa untuk melihat pola migrasi;

e) Asas kepada penyediaan geran daripada Kerajaan Pusat kepada Kerajaan Negeri; dan

f) Input kepada anggaran dan unjuran penduduk semasa

Hari banci dijalankan pd 6 Julai yg dikatakan satu hari yg mempunyai mobiliti penduduk plg minimum. Huh? Cemana diorg leh ada statistik camni.

Tp yg menariknya, kat Malaysia ada tiga cara utk buat banci nih. Selain cara temu ramah dgn isi borg. ada cara isi sendiri kat web yg diberi nama e-census. Canggih tul negara ku ini.

Banci ni penting utk menentukan hala tuju masa depan negara. Selain dpt tau jumlah penduduk dgn lebih tepat. banci juga utk survey tmpt tinggal korg. Org yg keje apa, duit byk mana, duduk kat tmpt cemana.

Berbalik kembali kepada banci kat Jepun nih.

Aku check2, takde pulak cara banci temu ramah. Aku difahamkan, ni atas sbb privasi.

Kat Jepun nih, ada satu mende yg x dilaksanakan kat Malaysia. Sekali dlm setahun (kot, brapa kali pun aku x pasti), cikgu2 kelas akan melawat rumah2 anak murid mereka. Mende ni biasa buat masa sekolah rendah je. Tp kebelakangan ni, byk parents x membenarkan cikgu ni masuk umah atas sbb privasi. Ada jugak yg berborak guna interphone je (kes klu umah apartment / kondominium yg ada password klu nk masuk bangunan).

ish ish ish. Org Jepun ni asyik pentingkan privasi jer. Patutla mati sengsorang dlm umah pun dah bau busuk baru sedar. Jgnla kita jadi camni ye rerakan.

KOBE's GIANT ROBOT

A 18 m tall Tetsujin 28-go (also known as Gigantor) monument was built at Shin-Nagata, Kobe city. There are several reasons why the monument is placed here.

The writer, Mitsuteru Yokoyama was born in Kobe.
Tetsujin 28-go was influenced by Yokoyama's wartime experiences (Bombing of Kobe in WW2).
Kobe Tetsujin Project’s statue is intended as a symbol of the city’s revival after the 1995 Kobe Earthquake. (Nagata ward, the city’s hardest hit neighborhood which has since been rebuilt and revitalized).

The people are REAL. No CG is involved.

Bunga Matahari, x pns ke?

Klu post yg lepas aku ceritakan pasal bunga ros (perang dunia ke-2), kali ni aku nk bercerita pasal bunga matahari.

Bila bercakap psl musim panas, mende2 yg tergambar kat dlm kepala org2 Jepun adalah: Laut, Tembikai, Kumbang (kabuto mushi) , bunga api, bunga matahari dan lain-lain.

Bunga Matahari ni cantik. Yg agak pelik dan ajaibnya, bunga dia akan menghadap matahari sepanjang masa. Xdela sampai 24 jam, waktu siang jela. Dr terbit matahari sampai terbenam matahari. Tp aku mendapat tau satu fakta yg korg entah tau atau x pasal bunga matahari ni.

Korg rasa, bahagian bunga untuk "bunga matahari", besar mana? Adakah dia berukuran beberapa puluh sentimeter dalam diameter? Jika anda berfikiran begitu, anda salah.

Sebenarnya, itu bukan bahagian bunga. Akan tetapi itu adalah bahagian kepala. Bunga yg sebenar bg bunga matahari sebenarnya hanya sebesar beberaoa milimeter dlm diameter. Ya, di bahagian tgh kepala tersebut.

Kalau tgk bebetul, susunan bunga itu amat menarik. Lg menarik susunan tersebut boleh diterangkan dgn formula dibawah.

dimana θadalah sudut, r untuk jejari atau jarak dr pusat, dan n adalah nombor indeks untuk setiap kuntum bunga dan c untuk nombor pembolehubah tetap. Menarik bukan? Lg satu kenapa guna 137.5 darjah? mende ini ada kaitan dgn golden ratio. Xnk la ckp psl golden ratio nih. Pening kepala nnt.

Cerita balik psl bunga.

Dari situ, bunga2 itu akan kering lalu mendedahkan biji benihnya. Biji benih tersebut kita makan dgn panggilan kuaci. Kuaci, biji benih bunga matahari yg kurang isinya dan juga tidak mengenyangkan. Tapi sekali makan, xbuleh berenti beb. Lagi satu pendedahan, aku sebenarnya agak kurang mahir dlm mengopek kuaci. Org selalu gigit nk dpt isi, aku gigit terbelah terus. Gigi tajam sgt. Terpaksa guna gigi geraham yg ada kat belakang tu. Silap ari bulan leh tercekik aku.

Sekarang pasal kuaci pulak.

Perkataan "kuaci" tu sebenarnya dipinjam dr bahasa Hokkien.(apsal pinjam pulak. nnt kene pulang blk). Apa yg menariknya, byk perkatan Hokkien yg dipinjam mcm teh, beca, mi dan juga Jepun. yg psl mi tu, aku terjumpa satu definisi yg menarik.

Aku jumpa masa main scrabble kat FB. Definisi bg mi adalah "a type of Malaysian Noodle". Jd Mi/Mee=Malaysian Noodle.

Jd dpt disimpulkan disini, bahasa melayu adalah satu bahasa yg sentiasa berevolusi. bahasa Melayu piawai adalah bahasa melayu riau. dr situ ia berevolusi menjadi beberapa jenis bahasa melayu lain. Yg terbesar, BAHASA INDONESIA dan juga BAHASA MALAYSIA. Dlm ranking mengikut native speaker, bahasa melayu dpt no. 27. tp ini tidak termasuk bahasa indonesia.

Kenapa?

Agaknya bahasa indonesia ni dah berevolusi lebih sgt dan agak jauh dr bahasa melayu piawai. Jd org yg wat survey nih xnk masukkan bahasa indonesia dlm bahasa melayu. Xnk tulis pjg sgt, aku penat dah. Panas tul ari ni.

Bunga Ros di Medan Perang

Semalam 15hb Ogos adalah salah satu tarikh yg penting dalam sejarah dunia. Pihak AS dan pihak2 bersekutu (dlm Perang Dunia Ke-2 /PD2) menamakan hari ini sbg VJ day (Victory over Japan) day. Kat Jepun, diorg panggil ari ni sbg Hari Tamatnya Perang.

Perang Dunia Ke-2

Penglibatan Jepun dlm peperangan bermula pd tahun 1931 dgn pendudukan wilayah Manchuria. Kemudian, sebuah negara boneka ditubuhkan di Manchuria. Sudah tentu is tidak diiktiraf oleh negara2 lain kerana penubuhan negara Manchuria bukanlah kehendak org2 Manchuria itu sendirik. Kenapa Jepun kenduduki Manchuria? Aku xnk tulis sbb nnt jd sgt panjang.

Sbb Jepun makin mara ke dalam China, AS mengambil keputusan utk membuat sekatan ekonomi. Jepun yg terdesak, ingin mencari bekalan yg plg berharga pd masa itu, iaitu petroleum kat tmpt lain.

Target Jepun ialah Indonesia, sebuah negara yg kaya dgn minyak, dan juga plg dekat dgn tanah Jepun. Tp sebelum sampai ke Indonesia, diorg kene musnahkan Singapura yg merupakan kubu kuat org Inggeris, tp sbnrnya lemah spt yg kita belajar time sejarah kat sekolah menengah dulu.

Tp sebagai langkah strategik, Jepun perlu memutuskan "lifeline" tentera British di Malaya dan Singapura iaitu Thailand dan Indochina.

Buat masa ini AS tidak dilibatkan. Akan tetapi pada Oktober 1941, PM Jepun dijawat oleh Komander Jepun yg bertanggungjawab merancang dan menjajah Manchuria. Sbb diorg menang terhadap Rusia dan China dlm peperangan sblm ini, diorg dgn confidentnya menghantar "surat ugutan" kepada AS supaya duduk diam2 dgn serangan Pearl Harbor. Maka dgn ini, bermulalah peperangan di Pasifik.

Tamatnya Perang

Setelah kemenangan tentera bersekutu di Eropah, Deklarasi Postdam yg menuntut Jepun menyerah telah dibuat. Beberapa bulan klu x silap aku, eksperimen bom atom telah berjaya dilakukan. Jepun dgn selambanya ignore Deklarasi Postdam. X lama slps itu Bom Atom dijatuhkan di Hiroshima dan juga Nagasaki.

Sbnrnya semasa pengebomam di Kepulauan Honshu mula dibuat, bom2 hanya dijatuhkan di kawasan2 sasaran tentera (mcm kilang, depot senjata dll). Akan tetapi, dgn dtgnya org atasan yg baru (komander barula sng citer) strategi ini berubah. Untuk menjatuhkan moral tentera Jepun, pengebomam secara membuta-tuli adalah perlu. Maka bom2 dijatuhkan do Tokyo, Osaka dan juga Nagoya. Kali ni org awam menjd mangsa. Ironiknya, komander yg mengarahkan pengeboman ini, menjadi "bapa" kepada tentera udara Jepun sekarang.

Setelah bom atom dijatuhkan, Maharaja Jepun mengumumkan bahawa Jepun menyerah tanpa syarat. Tarikh siaran / pengumuman tersebut adalah 15hb Ogos1945 (14hb waktu negara2 barat). Dokumen yg berkenaan ditandatangani pd 2hb September 1945.

Cerita kat belakang ①

Semasa serangan ke atas Pearl Harbor, rmi org Jepun xtau psl negara2 luar. Negara luar dianggap sbg evil, org2 Jepun dilarang belajar/ bercakap bahasa luar. Pengetahuan psl negara luar pun kurang menyebabkan rmi tentera pada masa itu dgn semangat berkobar2 menyerang Pearl Harbor tanpa mengetahui kehebatan AS. Diorg pun xtau yg siaran berkaler dah ada. Masa tu kat Jepun cuma ada black & white je.

Jd, selepas perang rmi yg berkata "kenapala kita pi serang Pearl Harbor". Dah terhantuk baru nk tergadah.

Cerita kat belakang ②

Tokyo Rose. Tajuk post kali ni.

Masa perang, NHK mula menyiarkan siaran yg berbentuk propaganda berbahasa Inggeris (xkanla nk bg hiburan kot masa perang). Salah satu segmen, Zero Hour, mempunyai DJ wanita. DJ ni punya la hebat smpi berjaya 'teka' serangan tentera2 bersekutu yg sepatutnya rahsia. Jd, askar2 memanggilnya sbg Tokyo Rose, seorg Witch dr Tokyo.

Selepas perang, seorg wanita bernama Iva Togura, rakyat Amerika berdarah Jepun ditangkap atas kesalahan mengkhianat. Sbnrnya ini semua adalah tuduhan palsu dan bermotifkan politik.

Mengikut dokumentari yg disiarkan td (aku tgk dokumentari selama 5 jam ari ni), dgn bantuan teknologi terkini, DJ yg bertanggungjawab utk segmen Zero Hour adalah 6 org. Iva Togura cuma salah sorg shj. Tapi sbb noise masa siaran (noise ini bertujuan utk mengganggu siaran), askar2 tersalah dgr dan menganggap hanya sorg je DJ yg bertugas.

Sbnrnya, rmi org Jepun yg menganggap mereka menjd mangsa perang dgn terjatuhnya dua bom atom. Rerupanya rmi yg xtau psl kekejaman Jepun di Manchuria. Bab2 psl PD2 pun diorg x bercerita sbb diorg anggap ini semua adalah sejarah hitam.

Semalam, 12 Ogos 2010 genaplah 25 tahun peristiwa terhempasnya penerbangan JAL 123. Kenapa menda di hangat diperkatakan tiap2 tahun menyebabkan aku tertarik untuk menyelidik lebih lanjut.

Penerbangan JAL 123 adalah satu penerbangan domestik biasa antara Haneda, Tokyo - Itami, Osaka. JAL 123 tersebut berlepas dr Haneda pd 6:12 ptg. Akan tetapi selepas 12 minit penerbangan, kapal terbang tersebut hilang kawalan. Semua kwln hidraulik hilang serta merta. 32 minit selepas itu, JAL 123 terhempas di kawasan pergunungan ni Gunma, 100 km di Barat Laut Tokyo. Lebih 500 org mati dan hanya 4 org terselamat.

Puncanya ialah dicompression menyebabkan satu letupan menanggal ekor kapal terbang tersebut sekaligus memutuskan nadi kapal terbang; paip hidraulik. Ini menyebabkan kapal terbang tersebut hilang kawalan. Punca kepada semua masalah ini adalah kesilapan manusia semasa penyenggaraan beberapa tahun sebelum itu.

Sebenarnya pd thn 1978, kapal terbang tersebut mengalami tailstrike menyebabkan kerosakan pd struktur. Pembaikpulihan telah dijalankan akan tetapi ia hanyalah satu tindakan sementara. dalam kata lain, ia bagaikan bom jangka.

Sebenarnya ada satu lg punca yg menyebabkan bilangan korban meningkat. Iaitu lambatnya usaha mencari dan menyelamat.

Selepas JAL 123 hilang dr radar, Tentera Udara AS yg berpangkalan di Yokota yg terletak di utara jepun yg juga mengikuti serta memberi bantuan semasa penerbangan tersebut sblm terhempas telah menjalankan usaha mencari dgn menghantar pesawat C130. Setelah kawasan yg disyaki tmpt terhempasnya JAL 123, mereka menawarkan untuk menghantar pasukan penyelamat kepada pihak Jepun tetapi ditolak mentah2.

Pasukan penyelamat Jepun tiba pada waktu matahari hampir terbenam. Disebabkan kekurangan teknologi pd waktu itu, usaha menyelamat tidak dpt dijalankan sehingga pg esoknya.

Mengikut keterangan mangsa yg terselamat, rmi yg masih hidup sejurus selepas terhempas. Mereka semua mati di dalam kesejukan malam.

Kerajaan Jepun pd mulanya menafikan menerima tawaran dr Tentera Udara AS utk usaha menyelamat. 10 thn selepas itu apabila perkara ini dibangkitkan semula, Kerajaan Jepun mengakui menerima tawaran tersebut tetapi menolaknya atas alasan ia hanyalah maklumat palsu.

Dalam usaha menyelamat, walaupun maklumat tersebut palsu atau tidak, adalah menjadi tanggungjawab pihak yg berkenaan utk menyiasat. Akan tetapi, pada masa tersebut, tiada penerbangan dibuat oleh pihak Jepun kerana mereka berharap JAL 123 terbang rendah.

Kejadian lambatnya usaha menyelamat ini tidak pernah diungkitkan oleh sesiapa.. Aku dpt tau psl perkara ini setelah membaca artikel2 dan menonton video2 psl kejadian ini. Byk gakla buang masa.

Tp kenapa selepas 10 thn perkara ini diungkitkan kembali dan baru Kerajaan Jepun baru nak mengaku?

10 thn selepas terhempasnya JAl 123, berlakunya kejadian Gempa Bumi kuat di kawasan Hanshin (KOBE) pd tahun 1995. Ramai yg menjadi korban.

Rekabentuk bangunan yg tidak kukuh dipersalahkan atas kemusnahan dan kematian yg dialami. Satu sebab yg boleh diterima akal. Tetapi, selepas diselidik dgn teliti, lewatnya usaha menyelamat dan organisasi sukarelawan yg x terurus, menjadi salah satu punca utama tinggi jumlah korban.

Sebenarnya, beberapa negara telah menawarkan bantuan. Salah satunya adalah Korea. Kerajaan Jepun menolak tawaran tersebut kerana ia adalah Hal Dalaman.

Bila aku meneliti kembali semua kejadian2 bencana selepas perang dunia ke-2, aku mendapati tiada negara luar terlibat dlm usaha mencari dan menyelamat walaupun drpd Amerika yg berpangkalan di sini. Kerana Ego dan ingin menjaga Pride org Jepun yg terlalu tinggi, tawaran2 ini semuanya ditolak dgn mentah2.

Ini mengingatkan aku interview Tun Dr. Mahathir yg dijalankan oleh sebuah stesen Tv di sini. Idea Tun utk mengelakkan krisis matawang seperti kawalan mata wang (telah dijalankan di Msia dan terbukti berkesan dlm mengurangkan 'kerosakan') dan juga Dinar Emas, telah ditolak mentah2 oleh pakar ekonomi yg dijemput oleh rancangan tersebut.

tetapi, inilah orang Jepun. Pride mereka terlalu tinggi. Selagi kita tidak berjaya (maksud berjaya disini ialah kewujudan orang Jepun x diperlukan), maka diorg xkan pandang kita.

Sekali tahun ni, aku menghadirkan diri untuk melihatnpersembahan 花火 (hanabi/fireworks). Kali ni, ramai gak warga kobe yg pegi. Ini disebabkan kali ni kami menerima warga kobe yg telah berkeluarga dan juga seorg warga kobe yg dah graduate tp ada keje kat sini.

Kali ni x byk beza dgn thn lepas cuma, kali ni 花火大会 (hanabi taikai/ persembahan bunga api) Kobe dan juga Yodo River, Osaka dibuat serentak. Mcm tetau je next week nak puasa.

Atas sebab2 tertentu, kami sepakat utk tgk je kat kobe. Berdsrkan rekod thn lepas, x byk org kat Port Island. Ini menyebabkan aku rilek je pegi, xde nk pegi awal2. klu pegi yg Osaka punyer, klu x pegi kul 3 ptg, pepandaila nk menyelit memana. Diorg shoot kat tgh2 pelabuhan, jd leh nampak je kat memana.

Mcm biasa, ia terbahagi kepada 3 segmen. Hanabi yg besar2 kali ni x byk. Ada satu lg mende yg pelik. Masa habis segmen 2 nk masuk segmen 3, masa rehat lamaaaaa giler. Ada org igt dah abis dah, siap packing. Ada gak yg dah gerak.

Tp melihatkan polis marin yg masih x bukak pelabuhan, kami tau ia belum berakhir. Siap kutuk lg "ini mesti ada prg baito (parttime) yg salah psg wayar nih. x pun lupa nk psg".

Pastu, kitaorg pun amikla gambar reramai. Nk setting lama giler sbb amik gambar dr atas ke bawah. Ini idea Rizal. Sbb aku xde remote, short circuit sbb masuk air tempoh ari, aku kongsi remote Rizal.

Hello again! Salam satu Malaysia!

Setelah sunyi selama dekat suku tahun (4bln) lebih, akhirnya aku buat post baru utk blog yg aku sayang ni.

Tp, yg peliknya semua bloggers kat area ni pun dah jd mcm aku dah. Jarang wat post baru. Adala beberapa org yg masih mengupdate blog memasing.

Sebenarnya, ada beberapa sebab blog aku x update.

1. xde idea apa nk tulis.
2. tgh evaluate balik cara blogging aku
3. kekononnya nak ubah beberapa feature blog ni. Ni melibatkan penulisan kod html, tp aku pun dah naik boring.
4. kedatangan beberapa MieA Device yg baru. Kene susun balik aku nyer workflow.
5. Lupa nk format MieXa. Terlalu byk sgt program. Malas nk uninstall sesatu. Baik format jer terus.
6. Data-data eksperimen time undergraduate dulu masih lg x tersusun.
7. Malas

Sebab no.7 adalah penyebab paling utama kenapa blog ni x terupdate. Akan tetapi, dgn adanya beberapa MieA device yg baru ini, aku leh update blog tanpa perlu bangun dan duduk dpn komputer. Tp malangnya, ia perlu dikemaskinikan kemudiam sbb arkib dan beberapa HTML code xleh ditulis.

Atas sebab itu, aku akan gunakan signature "Post from a mobile device".

Banyak lg aku nk tulis sebenarnya, tp sbb rmi cakap "ko tulis byk sgt. mls nk baca" (berdasarkan survey yg terbaru), kene tulis pendek sikit kali ni (dah pjg dah pun). So, chow dulu.

There was a fire at ... I don't know where. Didn't heard the alarm neither. Below is the time-line:

Around 5pm: Kawanami Sensei send a message "落ち着いてください (calm down)" to a member of my lab. Then he replied the message "了解(10-4)".

After several minutes: An announcement from 'the office' "火は、先程鎮火しました(the fire has been extinguished)". We were surprised. "え？火事？(what?fire?)".

One of us send a message to Kawanami Sensei to ask where,how, when did the fire start. Kawanami Sensei replied "コラ(Hey)！". We replied "すんません(sorry)".

We didn't heard the alarm. Nobody in the lab did. If it was a BIG fire, we all rentung already.

iPad and Tablet PCs future (BM Post)

Akhirnya Apple melancarkan iPad mlm td. Ura-ura mengenai iPad telah pun saya ikuti sejak beberapa bulan lalu apabila ura-ura mengenai iPhone 4G bermula.

iPad adalah tablet PC yg terbaru dr segi design (Tablet PC sebelum ni adalah notebook/netbook yg boleh diputar-putarkan)

Tapi, ada org kata "no keyboard!". Ya, dgn tiada keyboard, maka ini adalah satu disadvantage akan tetapi disinila terletaknya keistimewaan Tablet PC. Tablet PC adalah sejenis komputer kecil yg tempatnya letak di tangan anda, bukan diatas meja. Cuba fikirkan situasi dibawah:

Katakanla didalam mesyuarat atau lebih senang masa presentation. Kalau guna netbook/notebook, kita perlu menunduk untuk melakukan beberapa arahan tertentu. Akan tetapi, dgn tablet PC, ini semua tidak diperlukan. Membuat presentation adalah lebih senang!

Bagi saya tablet PC ini bagus untuk org2 bisnes dan juga student yg x brapa suka untuk menaip (untuk baca pdf ke).

Jd, bagaimana dgn pesaing lain?

Menurut sumber-sumber tertentu, Google dgn kerjasama HTC sedang membangunkan Tablet Pc yg menggunakan Chrome OS. Microsoft pula telah bekerjasama dgn HP utk membangunkan HP Slate. Pengunguman HP Slate telah pun dibuat pada awal bulan ini, akan tetapi demonstrasi unit HP Slate baru sahaja ditunjuk mlm td. Walaubagaimanapun spec bg HP Slate masih lg belum diketahui.

Sebagai pengguna iPhone, pengunguman iPad adalah sesuatu yg dinanti-nantikan. IPad menggunakan iPhone OS 3.2, OS yg dikatakan bakal dijadikan OS utama bg iPhone 4G yg akan tiba musim panas nnt.

Nota: Tablet PC mempunyai kurang sambutan sebelum ini, adakah dgn design baru seperti akan menaikkan populariti Tablet PC sekaaligus membenamkan netbook?

Nota2:iPad adalah iPhone yg bersaiz besar, manakala HP Slate adalah Win 7 bersaiz kecik.

Canon goes EVIL!

My Powershot A530 has been dead for about half a year. Since then, I have many dificulties when taking candid shot (when you using an SLR/DSLR camera, people will notice your camera while you aiming).

Because of this, I start surveying other powershots camera. Powershot G series really impress me. They can take pics in RAW format (I took RAW with A530 after installing CHDK), and they have the mode that I want, the M or manual mode (A530 also have this mode but I can only select 2 apertures).

When I start using dSLR, the most fun part is rotating and changing lenses. I want this feature for compact cameras. Olympus Pen (with micro 4/3) have this feature but I can buy a new L lens at the same price.

Today, I read about EVIL camera. EVIL stands for electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens. The concept is a little different than dSLR. dSLR use prism and mirror to bring the image to your viewfinder, but with this electronic viewfinder, lcd is used. This will reduces the size as lcd can be made smaller than prism used in dSLR. Here, you can get a compact sized camera. Another feature of this EVIL system is, you can change your lenses.

An example for this is Lumix GF-1.

But I want a canon. Why? It is just that, I'm a canonite.

Today. I read about a rumor that Canon will be announcing an EVIL camera this year (I hope next month). First, they will use APS-C censor same as 7D. It will be smaller than micro 4/3 (why Canon don't want to build a micro 4/3 camera?). HD recording and articulate lcd screen will also be equipped.

How about the lens?

The rumor also said that Canon will introduce a whole new leries of lenses known as EF-X. Adapter for use with EF and EF-S will be available also.

The price?

I expect the price will be as same as new Rebel/xxxD/Kiss cameras. Or maybe a little cheaper if canon target the new EVIL camera to more users. Flexible and cheap than dSLR, that is what everybody wants.

I will wait for more news. If it true, I will cancel my plan to buy a powershot G11 and save more money to buy this EVIL camera. I will maybe buy a pancake lens for this camera. It will make it look good.

-I heard that Nikon also developing an EVIL camera, not using a micro 4/3 sensor, the sensor will be slightly bigger than Canon's (about 1mm).

-More rumors: spec for 60D and 550D (or 600D) has been leaked. With upgraded APS-C sensor (15 mpx), and with articulating screen, a feature that Canon hasitate to put on previous model while the competitors do.

It's not spring yet but information about songs that will be released this spring starting to appear everywhere.

One of them is Sakura no Shiori (桜の栞）. Will be released on 17^th of February. A choir song. I don't want to put many info, (malas plus nk ada element of suprise whi sahabat2 ku). Lyric in Japanese (not confirmed, expect some mistakes) and no translation. I want to translate it myself but there are some parts that I don't know how to translate in English (BM boleh le).

15 years ago, January 17 1995.
An earthquake with magnitude 7.3 (Ritcher scale) with intensity (Shindo/震度 in Japanese) 7, the highest level in JMA scale. Over 6000 people were dead.

1.17希望の灯り-The monument for remembering the tragedy

A special documentary drama, 神戸新聞の７日間(Kobe Shimbun's 7 days) aired January 16 on Fuji TV (Kansai TV for Kansai area). It was about Kobe Shimbun's fight for 7 days after the quake. They lost their main computer (used for making layout for their paper) and asked Kyoto Shimbun's help.

Footages, photos, reporters diaries were shown. The situation was worse. Why? At the time of the quake, Japan was not prepare totally for a very big quake, especially Kobe which have very little quake. After the quake, Japanese Goverment change their policies and building regulations.

Since 2006 (the year when I start my life in Japan), there was 2 big earthquake (as far as I can remember). The last one was last summer in Shizuoka (I was in Tokyo). The damage was very low and the response was also fast compared to Kobe Earthquake 15 years ago.

-The apartment where I live now was built in 1973. Maybe this building was effected by the quake resulting the building to senget a little (siapa yg dah tu dtg taula)

Sedang kami menunggu untuk menyaksikan street live oleh seorg pemuzik yg aku sendiri x kenal, terjumpa pulak dgn Wannur dan Firdaus. Dengan segera, Wannur ajak kami pi main bowling.

Last time aku main bowling adalah 26 Disember lepas. Dan pada hari itu ibu jari aku tercedera. Sampai sekarang x baik lg. Aku pulak, tanpa memikirkan semua itu (termasuk duit di dalam dompet) menerima ajakan tersebut.

Kalau sebelum ini aku hanya bermain dengan Q dgn Kanben tanpa ada pressure, kali ini bermain lak dgn Wannur yg riuh. Adakah aku bakal berjaya mendapatkan 120 mata (average selalu main dgn Q and kanben)?

Keputusannya 120, 135, 134. OK la tu kot. Tp ni masih bowl ditempat yg sama, klu kat bowling house lain agaknya cemana pulak ek.

Setelah berusaha mencari yg mencuba selama lebih sebulan, maka diumumkan disini cara mendownload gambar yg terbaru.

Tapi ia masih dlm peringkat percubaan lagi.

-Satu page baru akan dibuat (ala2 galeri). Kat situ akan ada album2.
-Gambar2 akan dihoskan oleh hosting site yg aku gunakan untuk album site aku sekarang.
-Link download untuk setiap gambar akan diberikan disebelah bawah.

Tapi di sini ada satu masalah: sesiapa sahaja boleh download gambar anda dan gunakannya untuk pelbagai tujuan samada baik atau jahat.

Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, aku sdg mencuba meletakkan master password.

(1) untuk bebudak kobe
(2) untuk mereka yg terpilih
(3) Spesel password bg mereka yg x terkategori dlm (1) tp terada jugak dlm gambar yg mengandungi mereka yg tergolong dlm (1).

Untuk (2), ada masalah untuk memberikan password. Nasib baik ada facebook. Hanya mereka yg ditag dlm gambar facebook saje akan diberikan password. Jadi, tolonglah tag gambar member korg (igt, privasi album disetkan "only friends can view").

PERINGATAN:

MASALAH yang paling besar ialah bandwidth. Kebanyakan web hosting bg space 1GB(contohnya) dan bandwidth 2GB(contohnya). Maksudnya, klu dikira secara simple dan x tepat, cuma 2 org je boleh download.

Ini semua masih dlm percubaan, sila nantikan pengunguman seterusnya.

※Satu super master password (mother of all password yg membolehkan gambar didownload tanpa sekatan) akan dikeluarkan untuk mereka yg berkenaan. (ehem ehem)

17^th of December

At last, my experiment apparatus is completed. I was so happy, a month hardwork.

With the help from Miyaoka-san, we put the apparatus in place. then, come the moment of truth: inserting water.

No problem, no leakage at all.

Then, we check the thermocouples. All work just fine.

But how about the water pressure? We ran a test.

Result: Failure. New leakage found.

18^th of December

After working till 8pm yesterday, covering the holes. No leakage was found. I also change the silicon used to covered the holes with hot glue. Main reason: silicon take too much time to 'harden'.

With confidence as high as Taipei 101, we run the test again. Again, new leakage found. but the good news is it take more much time before a hole opened in between the glue that lead to leakage.

I worked till 10pm. After that, went out karaoke.

21^st of December

It's monday and I was late 30 minutes for lab meeting. Luckily, there was no need to present anything to Kawanami Sensei as he was at the scene last Friday.

Miyaoka-san didn't came as he has other important matter to settle.

I run the test again, this time there was no leakage. Thermocouple no.5 given no response. But it don't have any effect to my experiment.

I run the test again and again just to make sure it doesn't dissapoint me when data collecting begin.

Thermocouple no.8 (one of the 2 thermocouples that is vital for my experiment) response start giving me weird readings. I checked the apparatus, there was a drop a water. Yes, new leakage. But the leakage can't be located as only a drop of water was spotted.

I run the test more longer to make the hole(s) bigger for me easily to detect. But another problem arose: thermocouples no.8 stopped to give me readings. I look at the alarm clock (it was left by I don't know who), it was 4pm. There is no time as tomorrow, people from 学会 will come to see the apparatus.

Time for plan B.

I decided to use the apparatus I made before just for tomorrow.

Miyaoka-san came to the rescue as he return to the lab and help me ready the apparatus.

Looking at the damage, I decided to re-make the apparatus. A decision that I hoped not to take.

焼きそば事件 (yaki soba jiken/the yaki soba incident)

Date: 20^th of December 2009

After watching Nodame Cantabile Finale (part 1) with my kohais, we decided to have a dinner.

At first, we want to eat sushi. The restaurant is small, can occupy about 8 customers at a time. The shop was full, filled with customer. No empty seat. It was about 5:30 pm that time, people start searching for dinner.

Then, Hanizah told us that there is a yaki soba restaurant nearby. The price is cheap and the food is delicious.

After searching (tawaf 1 round), we finally found it. The name is Big Kid. All the price shown there are below 1000 yen, and the volume is for 2,3 people per dish. CHEAP!!

We ordered 2 dishes, yaki soba seafood mix and omlet yaki soba seafood mix.

After finishing yaki soba, we start to eat omlet yaki soba. After 2/3 has been eaten, Hanizah found something that made you don't want to eat again. (can't write it here to protect your stomach).

We don't want to make small matter big (well, it was a serious matter actually). So Izzat talk with the 店長 (tenchou = manager^(?)) with very slow volume (why can he control his volume at time like that? usually his voice can be heard loud and clear within 10 meter radius minimum!). The 店長 offered us a free drink.

The omlet? 1/3 returned, 2/3 safely digested.

2010: 4G era

Since last year, telecomunication companies (especially in Japan and America, dont know about europe) has been testing the next generation for mobile phone: 4G (fourth generation). This technology will be ready for service next year. This also mean that, 4G ready mobile phone will be in market next year.

I'm now searching for a new phone as my iPhone don't have enough RAM to satisfy my needs.

Next year, it is a battle between 2 big OS, iPhone OS and Android (this is TOTALLY my opinion).

In my shortlist:

iPhone 4G
Nexus One (by google)
HTC Phones (too many to list here)
Motorola Droid

Many people said that Motorola Droid is a iPhone contender; Nexus One (from Google by HTC) surpress Motorola Droid, and HTC stuck between Motorola and Nexus. Simplify the math: Nexus One is better than iPhone.

I also surveyed about Windows Mobile OS Phone. The next generation, Windows Mobile 7 will be in market next year also. Windows Mobile was my first handheld OS I had several years ago. It's not a smartphone, just a PocketPC. I also like Windows Mobile because it has many freeware written for use with the OS and it is available in the net. And...I'm a PC user.

So, which one will be the next smartphone for me?

-Another question: Is Malaysian telecomunication networks ready for 4G?

Kanji for this year (BM Post)

Setiap tahun, satu huruf kanji akan dipilih bg mewakili thn tersebut. Bg tahun ni, kanji 「新」 yg bermaksud baru telah dipilih.

Sebab

Pada thn ini, kerajaan baru telah dibentuk dipimpin oleh Perdana Menteri Hatoyama. Dibentuk oleh parti yg sebelum ini adalah pembangkang.

Virus selsema baru juga membuat kemunculan sulung pada tahun ini. Virus Influenza Subtype A(H1N1) yg baru, atau virus selsema babi.

-Nota: H1N1 bukanlah jenis A atau 新型, atau influenza jenis A bukanlah semestinya H1N1 atau virus baru ini (新型インフルエンザ). Utk mengelakkan kekeliruan ini kita guna rasmi WHO H1N1/09. Sila tingkatkan bacaan anda.

Antara sebab lain kenapa kanji ini dipilih adalah pemilihan presiden Amerika yg baru iaitu Barrack Obama.

Apa kanji korg?

-Aku pilih 「道」 yg membawa maksud jln. Tahun ni merupakan tahun penting dlm menentukan jalan hidup aku selepas ini.

If you read my previous post, my data (about 400GB) lost because I accidentally deleted the partition. Now, I get my data back just what it was before I deleted the partition. Thanks to those who helping me in the process.

Actually, I wanted to create several post about event/things that happen around me but I couldn't do it because of the problem above.

With all the data restored, I now can continue with my plan (changing the blog layout, ready my desktop for windows 7, etc). For first step, I'm now uploading pics that I've taken last month to my facebook and flickr account.

For this blog, I've taken away the blog posts from showing at the front page. It was a very hard proccess for me who is not really understand how the code works. But I'm glad it all work flawlessly.

LOST - 3 years of memories...

I'm now preparing my desktop for Windows 7 upgrade. Before that, I need to reformat my hard disk especially my external hard disk (there are some files that I don't know where it came from). After I back-up my external hard disk,I formatted it. My job was done.

However, I found there are 70MBs space are used. there are no files at all. Hidden files? It supposed to be empty.

So, I made a decision to re-partition the hard disk.

And, my nightmare begin....

Accidentally, I re-partitioned the backup hard disk. A very big mistake. My data (300GBs, including pis that I taken from 2006) are all gone. Very frustrating.

Currently, the backup hard disk is not formated yet. I am searching for solution, and I hope I will find it very soon.

Deadline...

"I have a 学会 in January, and I think, it's better to use the data from your experiment that you'll do." Said Miyaoka-san. He said that the paper must be submitted before or on 19^th of January. (wait, 19^th?. Why 19^th?). At that time, I thought: okay, just get the data. It's my job anyway. But then, he give me a very pleasent news.

He said, I can use the paper as reference for my thesis. According to Miea calculation, this will reduce the hardness for my thesis paper by 7%. A small figure. However, it is very big for me.

I saw the front page, with names written. Kawanami Sensei, Hirasawa Sensei, and my senpai, Miyaoka-san. Then, after a while he ask me: "Is your furigana right?". Wow, my name is included too (and the longest). I thought there is no credit for me, who do a small job.

I consider it as a motivation for me. It is hard to receive a credit for a "behind the stage" job.

頑張ろう!!!!

According to the latest report for this blog, many traffic came here through Google Search "sistem penyejukan magnetik" (Magnetic Refrigeration System) which is the topic for my thesis research.

Another great Info for this google search; This blog appeared at the first three link for the search result (google.com.my), and the only link talked about magnetic refrigeration (for the first 5 pages for the search result in google.com.my).

I will write more about it later or maybe create a special page for it.

Mulai 23 November, aku telah membuat keputusan utk menukar polisi mengupload gambar.

Gambar2 semua akan disaizkan semula (resize kata omputih) kepada max 2848 X 2848 .
Gambar2 akan diupload serentak ke Album Site dan juga Facebook.
Kalau dulu, satu part rar file adalah lebih kurang 60MB. Lepas ni, aku up-kan lg jd 100MB.
Backup gambar (JPEG) tak akan dibuat. Lepas system mendeletekan gambar yg berkenaan, maka tiada ganti akan diupload.

.
Dan di sini mahulah diingatkan. Bahawasanya, gambar yg mmg utk didownload (link ada kat album site), adalah tidak berwatermark dan secara asasnya berpassword. Password hanya akan diberitahu atas permintaan.

Dan akhir sekali: SILA AMBIL PERHATIAN KEPADA FEED YG AKU BG FACEBOOK.

Kalau korg rasa korg malas, aku lg malas. Mieahahahaha.

Forward (announcement)

21st of December 2008, a date which is very important for me.

The first post for this blog was posted at this date. Since then, I wrote many post about nearly everything. This blog which at first created to combine all my blog, "Hobby Matter" and "Idea dan Fikiranku". However, this blog became a portal to the blogs.

When I bought my DSLR (I waited near 4 years for this), I created another blog, The World from My Lenz. then, I decided to move the blog to other site due to bandwidth restriction.

Today, 21st of November. A month till 21st of December. In a month, I will write new codes for this blog.

Why?

Having more than one blog is not a very good idea. First, I take too much time to update just one blog. Second, because I mainly update this blog, all my other blog are left unupdated. That's what happened to me. Third, it is very hard to manage the feeds.

The plan

The new code will make this blog more manageable. And also easy to view (I hope). Here, are the features that I plan for this blog.

-If you type in the url for this blog, you will be brought to a welcome page. There, no post will be displayed.
-I will use three major categories: Blog, Hobby Matter, Photography. All these categories can be accessed through the tab above.

Offline?

I will maybe take this blog offline several times. If you use the address http://theworldoforcaz.tk , there will be no problem at all. you will be directed to another blog which I made for backup. But, if you don't you better to do so.

Cons

Because this blog's code is getting more complicated than before. I can't take take this blog back to 'normal'. I don't create the code from scratch, I'm not good at it. I only search for it on the net and apply it to this blog. Changing the code may result to lost some feature or big failure. The process for getting the code right may take a long time.

For this code, I targeted 1 month to get the code ready. It may take more, but I will try to make it on time.

SPM (BM post)

SPM, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. Peperiksaan yang 'terbesar' dan yang terakhir bg mereka yg bakal meninggalkan Sekolah Menengah. Ramai orang kata yg SPM ni menentukan masa depan kita. Mereka ini tidak salah, tapi malangnya juga mereka ini tidaklah 100% betul.

Apa yg pasti, SPM bg aku adalah satu peristiwa yg dah lama berlalu. Nasib baik aku dapat lepas dgn keputusan yg agak baik sbb masa tu, aku punya skill utk survive pun boleh dikatakan near 0. Alhamdullillah, dgn keputusan yg x seberapa itu, aku berjaya sampai ke bumi sakura ini.

Kali ni, adik aku pulak yg ambik SPM.. Persamaan antara kami berdua: ambik SPM di negeri yg sama iaitu Johor.

Masa nk ambik SPM ni, banyak dugaan. Luar dan dalam. Masa ni la ada org nk dengki, masa ni la putus cinta (bg mereka yg berkenaan), masa ni la ada itu dan ini. Dan yg paling banyak sekali, masa ni la baru nk study.

Bagi aku, study utk exam bukannya baca buku atau buat soalan yg lepas2. Masa nk examla kene uruskan masa dengan sebaiknya. Aku dulu amalkan 50% main, 25% study, 25% tgk org study. Main tu penting, sebab boleh relax. Selain itu, dgn bermainlah aku dpt lebih igt segala formula yg berkenaan (bukan semua, tp bolehla).

Tgk org study pun penting jugak. Kita bukannya 100% tahu apa yg kita x faham. Atau dengan erti kata lain, salah faham. Tak pun ada yang kita terlepas pandang ke, mana tau?

Tp result aku pun takat 'boleh' je. Takdela cemerlang, gemilang, terbilang. Mungkin formula aku x betul. Tp lain org lain cara.

Sekarang ni, aku kene tulis thesis, bukan jawab soklan mcm SPM lg. Sekarang ni diri kene prepare menghadapi hidup yg tak terkawal.

Akhir sekali, moga berjaya kepada mereka yg berkenaan.

Trust...

Maybe this autumn is not a season for me to watch anime.

Why?

Because there is no anime that interest me.

But, this autumn there are some dramas that are very interesting. Currently, there are 3 dramas that I selected for my collection.

JIN -仁-

Japanese Drama
A story about a doctor that accidentally time slipped to Edo Period. Using the modern medical knowledges, he help the Edo people (with no proper equipment, medicine, and Edo people).

Stargate Universe (a.k.a SGU)

Sci-Fi Drama from US.
Another Stargate series. Not a spin-off like Stargate Atlantis. It is more like a sequel to SG-1. The series is set on an Ancient's ship, Destiny. A new address were introduced in this series by dialling a 9-Chevrons address (In SG-1, they use 8 chevrons to dial to another galaxy).

LIAR GAME (Season 2)

Japanese Drama
A sequel to LIAR GAME 2 years ago. A movie was also announced. It will hit the cinemas next year.

I added the LIAR GAME theme song to this blog's BGM. Now, this blog have 8 song for BGM. (those who use IE, maybe can't hear the BGM. IE hate us, firefox users)

Trust

All this three dramas are talking about trust.

In JIN, the main character is from the future (in relative to Edo period). The people of Edo had to trust him to treat the illness using modern medical knowledge which very very strange to them at that time.

In SGU, the people on board the destiny, is not very prepared. Many of them have no skill nor experienced the Stargate's adventure. The Icarus base was attacked by Goa'uld (by looking at the ship's design) and they dialled the 9-chevrons address and they on an Ancient's ship. They have to trust each other to survive.

Liar game, as the title says, it's all about lying. Trust nobody.

The hunt for the fruit of the gods (BM post)

Hari Sabtu lepas, kami bebudak Kansai pergi 'memburu' dan 'memusnahkan' salah satu tanaman kat sini: Pisang Kaki. Dalam bahasa jepunnya: Kaki (かき、柿), dan dalam englishnya Persimmon. Tahun lepas ada buat jugak, tp kat area Shiga. Tahun ni di Kobe.

Yg ni, aku jumpa masa aku check wikipedia. Org Greek/Yunani dedulu, panggil pisang kaki ni The Fruit of the Gods. Pasal nama ni amatla menarik hati, aku guna kat tajuk post kali ni.

Journey

Perjalanan mengambil masa kira2 50 minit. Tambang lak antara 700~770 yen (Hanshin, Hankyu). Melalui antara bukit-bukau dan gunung-ganang.

Aku sampai kat Shinkaichi lebih kurang pukul 1115. Kat situ, terjumpa lak Kimu dan bebudak Osaka. Diorg ni dah hampir2 ambik train berpatah balik ke Kousoku-kobe (高速神戸). Maka, dgn niat murninya aku pun bawakla diorg ke jalan yg benar.

Sampai kat Kizu(きづ・木津) lak kul 1149. Oleh kerana Ujai dan lain-lain amik train Hankyu Line yg bertolak selepas kul 1100 dr Rokko, maka terpaksa menunggu dekat 15 minit. Bagus gak sampai awal nih. Leh tangkap gambar macam2.

Pada 1204, sampaila mereka. Aku igt suma org dah sampai, rupanya Izzat sampai lambat lak.

Adventure kami tidak terhenti di situ, peta yg kami ada tidaklah beberapa lengkap. Dan kami (sebenarnya Ujai sorg) terpaksa bertanyakan arah pada penduduk tempatan yg ada.

Kemudian, terpaksa pulak mendaki sedikit (ketinggian 10m kot) sebelum sampai ke ladang/kebun pisang kaki yg berkenaan.

Makan

Rule makan Pisang Kaki kat sini cuma ada beberapa sahaja.

Pertama, bayar (ko igt, kitaorg tanam pokok ni utk korg makan sorg ke? bisnes la weh: kata pemilik ladang/kebun tersebut).

Kedua: eat all you can.

Ketiga:blah.

Bayaran yg dikenakan ialah 630yen seorg.

Sebab aku tak makan apa2 pagi tu, tangan aku menggigil masa kupas Pisang Kakiku yg pertama pada hari tersebut. Sampai makcik tu tegur "大丈夫? (~~Ayu~~ Are you OK?)". Jadi aku nasihatkanla sebelum korg handle pisau ke, gergaji ke, pistol ke, baik alas perut dulu. Nnt tercedera diri sendiri kang, sapa susah?

Aktiviti lain

Aku mengambil kesempatan ini utk membuat Food Photography. Sudah tentu Pisang Kaki menjadi subject aku. Tak ketinggalan juga Portrait Photography. Model kali ni kak Ina, Deja, dan juga dua org jepun (waris pada pemilik ladang/kebun ni kot).

Wow! This is the 100th post! Let's celebrate!

So, for this very special post, I will not write any special thing. Just...普通～

MALAY SUB

It has been a year that I stopped buying TV's magazine. And without these kind of magazines, I'm not getting any latest info about latest drama, and more importantly latest anime. I do buy magazine about modelling (plastic model) but no much info about anime.

Last week, when I searched for anime to watch (I am only watch drama called JIN, but no anime at the time. JIN is a record breaking drama!) I found a topic in a Malay-owned anime forum about Malay Fansub. It is a very interesting topic. Do you know, there are many Malay Fansub group on the net. So, I picked the youngest one - Clynesub -. Reason: because they are new and I was hoping to find something for me to tsukkomi ツッコミ.

Oh yeah, there are some mistake. Maybe it was not done by malay. But, what do I care, Malaysian national language is Bahasa Malaysia(Bahasa Melayu). This morning, I received another e-mail from Kawanami Sensei. Today's meeting is canceled. Thsi is because he is not feeling very well and want to go for a medical check up. This is due to my senpai, Miyaoka-san that have been confirmed infected by AH1N1 Influenza.

It is a very good news for me as I'm not ready for today's meeting. But the bad news - there maybe somebody in the lab that already infected. It is not impossible. According to MieA simulation test, the percentage is very high. So, I decided not to go to the lab for today as a preventive measure (a very good excuse?).

Until yesterday night, the number of people died because of the flu is 43.

It has been two days that my senpai, Miyaoka-san don't come to the lab. "Maybe he had a fever or something. Maybe he is infected by Influenza" I thought.

That was what happened this morning.

Several minutes just before this post was written, I received an e-mail from Kawanami sensei. I was not wrong, Miyaoka-san is infected with influenza.

Look like my sixth sense is right again.

復活-revival

When I went to Umeda's Yodobashi Camera with my PSP (a.k.a MieSYa) two weeks ago, I was very confident that it will be repaired. But all that was never happened. Because I use CFW, Sony refused to repair my PSP. So, I got back my MieSYa with broken LCD.

But I don't give up so easily. I searched the internet and managed to get a new LCD with T2 screwdriver (not philips or minus, its more like star shaped) with just 6200 yen. 3000 yen cheaper than the Sony would charged.

With the help I found in youtube, I took only less than 30 minutes to changed the LCD. (more pics below)

Background Music or BGM is one of the elements that make this blog 'alive' (and also annoying for some people). Since imeem put the 30 seconds restriction, uploading to hosting site and put the player code to this blog take more time than before. But I never give up because, I love it.

More and more people start blogging. This include my kohai and my sensei. My sensei use this "blog technology" as a medium to communicate with his students. And he also put some fun stuff and widget there like Lucky Draw. We enjoy it VERY MUCH.

Today, my sensei (Kawanami Sensei) put an article that is very interesting. Someone has written about a proof that 2 is equal to 1.

The article says that nobody can't tell that the proof was wrong. Mmmm... Imposible. What our wise mathematician are doing? Sleeping with their textbook?

Read about invalid proof (wikipedia link). when a=b, then a-b=0. "Since division by zero is undefined, the argument is invalid" (from wikipedia).

Setelah lebih sebulan menyepi, aku akhirnya kembali duduk menaip di depan komputer yg di'mulia'kan ini utk membuat satu post utk blog nih. Anggapla ini ucapan pembukaan bg sesi 2009/2010.

Bukan xnk update, nk update. Tp oleh kerana kesibukan yg tidak terkira, tak sempat nk update.

Perancangan aku utk blog ni ialah, teruskan update. Post2 yg berbentuk ala gempak seperti gambar2 Illustrator (siapa yg taula) dan lain2 ada dalam perancangan. Antara 'projek' yg aku suka ialah Fox Project. Takat ni adalah 2 Fox Project (Fox Project, Fox Project II). FOX PROJECT III

Utk Fox Project yg bg aku agak hebat ni, aku berkemungkinan akan buat satu perjalanan solo. Kalau x pun bawakla member sorg dua. Tp subjek utama Fox Project kali ni bukanla bebudak kat Kobe nih. Subjek kita kali ni ialah SNOW and 自然.

Bergantung kepada keadaan, destinasi kali ini mungkin Eropah, tp Eropah dah ramai org pegi dah. Jd, pegila Russia, nk naik Siberian express. Tak pun Lhasa Express. Klu duit poket tu kering sangat, Twilight express, xpun cassiopeia express pun jdla.

Walau apa2 pun, xkan satu gambar pun akan diletak kat Facebook, atau website aku sebelum aku meninggal jepun selama-lama nya (paling awal pun bulan 4 tahun 2010). Utk bebudak Kobe, aktiviti anda mungkin sdg dipantau. Menari? Shopping? Berseronok? Berkelah? Kamera saya mungkin ada berdekatan.

The rise of the machines (Gundam ver.)

My second day at Tokyo. I decided to go to Odaiba which is my main reason to come to Tokyo this time. My target: to see the real size Gundam statue.

Here the story.

To celebrate Gundam 30th anniversary, Sunrise and Bandai decided to build a 1:1 statue of the first Gundam - RX 78-2.

The project was not only to celebrate Gundam 30th anniversary, but also to support Tokyo's effort to become the host for 2016 Olympic. Because of this reason, the project was named Green Tokyo, Gundam Project.

The site was open to public from 11th of July till 31st of August.

At that time, Typhoon Etau were approaching Tokyo. So, I was expecting rains and strong wind. However, the typhoon didn't make a landfall and went away from Tokyo.

I took a look around and found a booth where the official goods were sold. I decided to buy a Plamo (plastic model) as a souvenir. Taking pictures only is not enough rite?

I am queuing for about 2 hours to buy the Plamo but disappointed becaused it has no major difference with the 30th Anniversary Ver. Only few parts are not provided.

After that, we went to Akihabara (forget to mention that my friend Azril was the guide for my trip in Tokyo).

No, I'm not looking for cosplayers or maid cafe. I was looking for a mouse for my notebook. My budget was very very strict - under 500 yen. With 500 yen, you can get a low quality mouse. But luckily for me, I found a very nice one.

Spectra Light (Diffuser/bouncer)

I've read about this product's review on the internet and this product has been given a very good review. So, I start to look for this, but unfortunately I can't find any shop selling this product.

However, I found this product at an auction site here. Because it is only the way to buy this product, I bought it at 4200 yen.

And I had a chance to try this product last week.

As you can see, there is no clear different between no flash and bounced flash. Maybe I'm too close to subject, maybe the flash direction was not right. But there is one thing for sure, the speed with no flash was 1/13. While with flash, it was 1/15.

Journey to the east (part 2)

Kobe to Tokyo

This time, I will write about the 3rd and 4th stage of my journey to Tokyo. From Nagoya, I take the train running through the Chuo Main Line. Chuo main line is a line connecting Nagoya-Shiojiri,Nagano(塩尻、長野)-Tokyo.

Another line that connecting Nagoya and Tokyo is the Tokaido Line (which start from Shin-Osaka). Thge difference is, chuo main line go through the mountain region and much much slower than Tokaido Line (2-3 trains per hour, local and rapid). But thanks to this slow speed, the passenger's number are much lower than Tokaido Line.

3rd Stage

Red-3rd stage; Blue-4th stage (click for clearer view)

・Nagoya-Nakatsugawa(中津川)-Shiojiri

This section, is the west section of Chuo Main Line.

This line go through the mountain region. However, unlike Kansai Main Line (Kamo-Kameyama section) the line has been double tracked. Looking at the stations here (in Aichi prefecture only) the station has been renew despite not many people use it.

The OPTO is not used here. Maybe the area is not as rural as the Kamo-Kameyama section in Kansai Main Line.

From Nagoya, I took the rapid train to Nakatsugawa, a station in Gifu prefecture. The station is modern just like other urban area stations. Here, I have to wait for 30 minutes before departing for Shiojiri.

Shinano Express

Because I hadn't eat anything for lunch (don't have much time in Nagoya), I decided to go out for a while looking for launch. Unfortunately, no konbini or restaurant/shop that sell food that I can eat. The only shop there are Kiosk, a coffee shop, and a Soba shop.

I wanted to eat soba. But there is no seat. You must eat while standing, an option that I will not take because I'm so tired walking while carrying heavy luggage (well, it is VERY heavy for me). So, I just bought a drink.

From Nakatsugawa, I take a train (local, as there is no rapid heading for shiojiri) which use the OPTO.

Pay to the driver (one of the OPTO's feature)

The Nakatsugawa-Shiojiri section was not fully double tracked. Sometimes, we have to wait for central liner (the express train for chuo main line) to pass before we can continue our journey.

The stations in this sections are very unique. Many wooden stations are still standing. However I can't take pictures of it as the train is getting more crowded. I wish I brought someone to accompany me that time.

4TH STAGE

・Shiojiri-Takao, Yamanashi (高尾、山梨)-Tokyo

-I can't upload any map here as I don't have any complete map for this section.

I have to wait for another 30 minutes to wait the local train from Nagano to arrived before continuing my journey. This section is very popular (I think). There is so much people waiting for the train. I don't like this situation as I know it's hard to get a seat with these numbers of people.

Azusa Express

What I'm afraid of was becoming a reality as the train arrived. The train was already crowded with passengers from Nagano. I had to stand for a very long time before I get a seat.

According to the guidebook I bought, there are many switchback stations. I wanted to see the switchback operation as I never seen one before other than TV. I was disappointed as this section also mainly double tracked.

-Double tracked is one of the factor why switchback operation to climb uphill or going downhill is not used anymore.

There is one interesting feature about this section. It goes through close to the north of Mt. Fuji which mean the altitude is very high. The highest one I remembered was about 600m from sea level.

However, due the cloudy weather (thanks to typhoon Etau) the scenery view of Mt. Fuji can't be seen.

One the thing that make me wonder is why they don't use OPTO here? There is no many passengers here (one or two bicycles park at a station is a common view).

As the train reaching Kofu (甲府), the sky is getting dark.

From Takao, I took the Chuo Rapid (which is one of the most popular commuter train in Tokyo like the Yamanote Line).

END STAGE

I arrived just in time - 10pm.

The 14 hours journey was fun. The scenery was great. I wish I can travel like this again with other line.

Journey to the east (part 1)

This time, I decided to go to Tokyo by train (not express or shinkansen, just locals). Because it was Obon-Festival holiday, I decided to take Kansai-honsen(関西本線/kansai main line) and Chuo-honsen(中央本線/chuo main line) instead of taking the more popular and faster Tokaido-honsen (東海道本線/Tokaido main line).

The journey to 木津(Kizu) was nothing special. So, I considered the journey to Kizu as stage 1.

Why Kizu?

Kizu is the starting point for Kansai Main Line.

To get to Kizu, there are3 lines (from west) connecting to Kizu. Katamachi line(片町線) [Osaka-Kizu], Nara Line[Kyoto-Nara], and Yamatoji Line(大和路線) [Namba-Kamo].

Oops. Correction: Kansai Main Line is starting from JR Namba(難波) to Nagoya.

Kamo (加茂) is a station after Kizu. Yamatoji Line is other name for electrified Kansai Main Line between Kamo and JR Namba.

Correction: 2nd stage is starting from Kamo, not Kizu

THE FIRST STAGE(to Kamo)

-Starting from Rokkomichi(六甲道) > Osaka > Tenouji(天王寺) > Nara（奈良) > Kamo

As I stated before, there is nothing special about this segment. All the train used for this line can be found used for Urban Network (Kobe-Osaka-Kyoto and around the area).

THE SECOND STAGE(Kamo-Nagoya)

-From Kamo-Kameyama(亀山)-Nagoya

-Kameyama is a station located in Mie prefecture.

Kamo-Kameyama portion is not electrified yet. For that, DMU (diesel multiple unit) are used. Another special thing about this portion of Kansai Main Line is the line is not double tracked. The one person train operation (ワンマン運転) is used for this portion.

One Person Train Operation(OPTO) is just like the one driver operation. For example, buses with no conductor. You pay the fare to the driver or the machine located near the driver. This is because the Kamo-Kameyama portion is a rural area. Its go through the mountains region in south kansai area.

This scenery is a common view when travelling along the Kamo-Kameyama section

The station where OPTO is used is just like bus stations. No station master, no ticket gates, even there are some that just consist a small platform with couple of benches. However, not all stations are unmanned. There are also some manned stations.

If you living in Japan, you must heard about Sharp's Kameyama Model. This is because the factory which manufactured the model is located in Kameyama.

There is a castle called Kameyama Castle (about 10 minutes walk if I'm not mistaken) located nearby. Kameyama also hosted Kameyama-juku (亀山宿) which is the 46th stop in Tokaido.

Here, I have to wait for nearly a half an hour for the next train. I wanted to go to the Kameyama Castle, but due to the very tight schedule (expected to arrive at destination at 10pm) I just take a look around the station only.

OPTO is also used for Kameyama-Nagoya portion's operation. Because this portion is electrified (and double tracked), EMU (electric multiple unit) are used. Like Kamo-Kameyama section, unmanned stations are also can be found here.

hisashiburi ni LAB ni ikou!

I heard this from Kawanami Sensei yesterday. Representatives from Hitachi will come to see our magnetic refrigerator. "At last, an electrical appliance maker has interest in our efforts" he said.

Well, it's a big news for him. Not for me, yet. I've done nothing (just building it).

Sensei also gave me new assignment. He want to built another refrigerator. Instead using just only one material (we currently using gadolinium), he want to use three different material- Gadolinium and 2 others gadolinium alloys. So, I have to design new apparatus.

One of the problem that I'm facing is the arrival of the materials. The deadline for me to design the new apparatus is depend on the materials arrival date.

There is another problem. Because he want to use the magnet we already have, the size is very limited. I have some good design but it is too big. I will keep trying.

With this new design, we are hoping to achieve lower temperature (near zero degree Celsius).

Getting busy

Right now, I'm trying to get the pics that I took during my trip to Tokyo ready for a post. You can expect this will happen in a few days. Before that, I will give some info on what I've done in Tokyo. Below is the timeline.

9th of August: Went to Tokyo with train (journey took 14 hours)
10th of August: Because of the rain brought here (Tokyo) by Typhoon Etau, I decided to stay at my friend's house.
11th of August: Went to Odaiba. 1:1 Gundam is there. Went to Akihabara, search for a mouse.
12th of August: Went to Yokohama.
13th of August: Going back home.

That's all for my journey to Tokyo. Now for other topic.

I've just checked this blog, and I realised that I didn't update one of my links.

Welcome Ramadhan...(BM post)

Pengunguman Penyimpan Mohor Besar Raja-Raja, Engku Tan Sri Ibrahim Engku Ngah yg ditunggu sekian lama akhirnya mengesahkan bahawa 1 RAmahdan adalah esok.

Ini bermakna, kita ada satu hari lg utk makan tgh hari (betuah aarti ari ni) dan juga ada lg satu hari utk aku sediakan albumsite baru utk tatapan umum. Albumsite aku yg baru ni adalah utk menggantikan albumblog yg sememangnya susah utk dimaintain.

Mengikut jadual, albumsite ni akan ready pada 1 Ramadhan. Oleh kerana 1 Ramadhan esok, maka albumsite baru nih akan dpt diakses oleh suma makhluk bumi (non-humans are not allowed < pengaruh district 9) pada 22hb Jam0000 JST (Japan Standard Time). Album pertama ialah Kobe Festival.

Dan disini, aku mengambil kesempatan kepada sesapa yg membaca (yg x baca tu nasibla) utk meminta maaf atas segala kesilapan, terkasar bahasa dan perbuatan, hutang x berbayar ke, dan juga segala mende yg x boleh disebut disini atas sebab rahsia negara.

Animals need to kill to survive. The weaklings are their main target.

-'A' didn't get what he wanted from 'B'.
-'A' needs more money. 'B' have many. 'A' asked 'B' for some money, 'B' refused. No choice. Dead.
-'A''s girlfriend/fiancée were 'stolen' by 'B'. 'B' must die.
-'A' attacks 'B' for no reason. 'B' have to defend himself, but failed.
-'A''s hobby is killing.
-'A' is drunk, and he drive. 'B', a pedestrian is at the middle of the road. 'A' didn't notice.
-'A' is tired of life (he didn't find a guy who can be killed). Yes, suicide.
-'A' received orders. Your wish is my orders?

Today, I had an exam. Nearly 8 hours I sit in the room. Very bored, tired, etc etc etc. When I returned from school, I sit in front of my computer.

Tadaima (I'm home) - BM post

Akhirnya aku selamat sampai kat Kobe nih.

Perjalanan pulang aku takla selancar perjalanan pergi.

Memula, ada satu train tu lambat sampai 12 mnt. Pastu, train yg sama jugak terdelay sampai dekat 30 minit sebab traffic, dan juga gempa bumi.

Walaupun begitu, kecekapan JR west menyebabkan aku sampai di rumah pukul 8 td. Kiranya hanya beberapa minit lewat drpd yg sepatutnya.

Dalam keboringan duduk dlm train yg tak bergerak td, aku telah mengambil keputusan untuk memindahkan post2 yg berkenann dr blog album aku ke blog ini. Sistem pengkategorian akan digunakan. Blog album aku akan dijadikan photo blog aku. More pictures.

Dan aku akan mengupload gambar2 bukan lg dalam format flash. Akan tetapi ke satu website baru. Jd, sesapa yg takda akaun FB tu ataupun sesapa yg tak add aku kat FB tu lehla tgk.

Dr segi speed, tiada perubahan. Tetap lembab jugak. Tp, aku akan sentiasa berusaha mencari jalan penyelesaian.

Kerja2 pengubahsuaian ini dijangka bermula minggu depan.

-cerita2 kat tokyo akan aku post kendian. Skang ni sibuk.

Tropical Storm is coming!!! (BM post)

Dalam masa 4 hingga 5 jam dr post ini ditaip, aku akan memulakan perjalanan ke Tokyo. Kali ni aku pilih route Kobe-Osaka-Nara-Kameyama(mie)-Nagoya-Shiojiri(Nagano)-Kofu(Yamanashi)-Tokyo. Perjalanan dijangka mengambil masa maksimum 16 jam.

Ok, masa utk sediakan semua brg. Chacklist:
-peta...ok
-jadual...ok
-Mieda...ok
-kabel/charger...ok
-kamera...ok
-baju...nntla
-cuaca...lupala pulak

Maka, aku pun checkla cuaca cemana. Tgk dr gambaran radar cuaca, ada beberapa 'pusaran' awan yg aku tak berapa suka. Mengikut maklumat taufan, yg aktif cuma ada satu (no.8 Morakot). Aku pun lihatla animation pergerakan awan. mmg meragukan.

Aku check pulak website mengenai taufan2 diseluruh dunia. Agak terkejut apabila mengetaui, ada 3 'ribut' sdg aktif dirantau ini. #1:Goni, ribut tak aktif, kategori-tropical depression. #2: Morakot, ribut aktif, kategori-typhoon(taufan), sdg melanda China, takyah risau. #3: Ten, ribut aktif, kategori-tropical depression(akan upgrade kpd tropcal storm tgh hari nnt), sdg menuju tokyo, tak brapa happy.

Oleh kerana ribut Ten dijangka melanda pesisir pantai kat area wakayama/mie tgh hari nnt, dijangka akan adala hujan sesikit. Tp, masa dah sampai tokyo, diramalkan Ten akan jd Tropical Storm. Bermakna akan jd hujan yg agak lebat (takla lebat sgt). Ini amat merunsingkan kerana, aku malas nk bawak payung dan biasanya kalau hujan ni, kasut aku basah.

Maximum power reached? (and MieA story)

In my 4-year plan (this is the final year), I supposed to buy another PC or Server to complete my MieA system (Phase 1, 1.5 and 2). When I received my new MieA device - MieDa (my laptop, purchased under phase 2) and wanted to charge the battery, I realised that I am out of sockets.

There are about 6 sets of sockets (2 for each set) in my house.

Usage:
-Rice cooker, electric pot, microwave, toaster, blender.
-Refrigerator
-TV, PS3, Cable TV Decoder, Modem
-Computer (MieXa), Printer, study lamp
-Iron, battery charger
-Charger (for PSP/MieSYa, Nintendo DS Lite/MieLa, Handphone/(M)ieLa), fan, airbrush

The usage for every set is high (except for iron and battery charger). If I bought a new PC, this will put more load and maybe someday, the breaker will cut off my power supply due to overload.

I have friends that have more than 2 computers. And I wonder about their power management.

Kobe Port Fireworks Show (みなとこうべ海上花火大会)was held yesterday at port of Kobe. I chose Port Island as the place to view this spectacular fireworks show instead of more tradisionally selected Harborland or Meriken Park because of several reasons (less people, free shuttle bus, nice view etc etc).

According to weather reports, there will be rain at the time of the show. Last year, my camera (Powershot) was nearly broken because of rain. Even, Amzar cancelled his plan to join us because of rain (Osaka was raining heavily at that time. The rain in Kobe has stopped. The wind was blowing from the west).

Because this is the first time I went to port Island to watch the fireworks show, I decided to go early (5pm). The shuttle bus was not crowded at all, only half of the seat were occupied. The journey took about 15 minutes before arriving at ポーアイしおさい公園 (po-ai shiosai koen). The place also was not too crowded.

Than we wait for the others to arrive. While I wait for them, I set up my camera to shot some fireworks.

A few minutes before the fireworks start, my friends and others arrived at the park. And then, the show begin. They don't shout "TAMAYA~" or "KAGIYA~". I guess its because this is Kobe not Edo (err.. I mean Tokyo).

Then, at the middle of the show, we could feel reindrops hitting our heads. Luckily, it was not raining heavily. The stops about 5-6 minutes later.

Next, Yodogawa Osaka.

My new toy

I received my new lens yesterday. It is an EF 35-80mm F/4-5.6 III.

It's an old lens, and I just bought it for under 1000 yen at Yahoo!.jp Auction.

All the review for this lens said that this lens is a crap lens. But then, I found a forum. The first poster said that he hacked the lens to shoot macro. Many people tried it (because it is a crap lens, loosing one doesn't hurt anyone) and get great result.

I also tried to hack the lens and it was easy like kacang. I post two test shots here. The subject was my PS3 controller.

I will post more about this at my album blog.

New look

At last, I changed this blog's layout without any major problem. All the widget that I put in this blog are working perfectly.

But this doesn't mean that Iall the work are done, there still plenty of things that I need to do. Changing some widget settings, or maybe replace some with a new one.

About my header and wish banner.

I couldn't complete them in time. but I will upload them as soon as possible. Hey, I am not a graphic artist. So, don't expect me to finish them fast.
