A 18 m tall Tetsujin 28-go (also known as Gigantor) monument was built at Shin-Nagata, Kobe city. There are several reasons why the monument is placed here.

  • The writer, Mitsuteru Yokoyama was born in Kobe.
  • Tetsujin 28-go was influenced by Yokoyama's wartime experiences (Bombing of Kobe in WW2).
  • Kobe Tetsujin Project’s statue is intended as a symbol of the city’s revival after the 1995 Kobe Earthquake. (Nagata ward, the city’s hardest hit neighborhood which has since been rebuilt and revitalized).
The people are REAL. No CG is involved.
